This partnership aims to open new opportunities in medical tourism and specialized care, with a special focus on supporting oncology patients through expert skin health services.
EGYPT— L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty and the Egyptian Healthcare Authority (EHA) have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance access to advanced dermatological care across Egypt’s healthcare facilities.
This partnership aims to open new opportunities in medical tourism and specialized care, with a special focus on supporting oncology patients through expert skin health services.
The agreement also highlights Egypt’s rich heritage as a center of beauty and medical innovation.
The MoU was signed during the Africa Health ExCon event held from June 24 to 27, 2025, a leading platform for healthcare innovation in Africa.
The ceremony was attended by key figures including Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and Supervisor General of major health projects, and Mohamed El Araby, Managing Director of L’Oréal Egypt.
The signing was conducted by Dr. Amir Eltalwany, CEO of EHA, and Sandrine Japhet-Sibboni, General Manager of L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty, alongside other senior representatives from both organizations.
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to raising dermatological care standards in Egypt by combining L’Oréal’s global scientific expertise with the EHA’s leadership in public health.
The MoU outlines a dual strategy that balances economic growth with social responsibility, aiming to deliver world-class healthcare services and support Egypt’s goal of localizing advanced medical care.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky emphasized that partnering with a global leader in dermatology marks a crucial step toward developing integrated care models that address both the physical and psychological needs of patients.
He noted that the partnership will help position Egypt as a prominent destination for medical tourism by offering holistic healthcare services that meet international standards.
Mohamed El Araby expressed pride in this collaboration, highlighting L’Oréal Egypt’s dedication to healthcare transformation and its efforts to expand access to quality dermatological care.
Sandrine Japhet-Sibboni added that the partnership embodies L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty’s mission to provide skin health for all, supporting Egypt’s medical ambitions and offering compassionate care to cancer patients.
Under the agreement, specialized dermatology clinics adhering to international standards will be established within EHA facilities.
These clinics will serve both local and international patients and provide comprehensive support programs for oncology patients, combining expert skin care with psychological and social assistance to improve quality of life during treatment.
The MoU also commits to long-term sustainable development through professional training for healthcare providers, public awareness campaigns, and support for dermatological research.
This approach aims to address local health priorities and improve the overall quality and efficiency of Egypt’s healthcare system.
L’Oréal Egypt continues to collaborate with public institutions, non-profit organisations, and private partners to build a resilient and inclusive dermatological care model.
Notably, it recently partnered with the Baheya Foundation to launch the “Fight with Care” program under the La Roche-Posay brand.
This initiative supports women undergoing cancer treatment by addressing skin side effects and providing emotional support throughout their healing journey.
