INDIA – Lupin has deepened its footprint in South India with the opening of its new state-of-the-art Regional Reference Laboratory in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The inauguration of the Bengaluru-based lab comes shortly after Lupin launched its first-ever Regional Reference Laboratory in South India located in Hyderabad, Telangana.

In a press release, Lupin said: “The Regional Reference Laboratory in Bengaluru complements the company’s existing network of 25 laboratories and 410+ collection centers across India.”

The new laboratory will play a strategic role in the company’s expansion plan by providing accessible and affordable diagnostics and preventive healthcare services to doctors, patients, and consumers.

The facility is equipped with cutting-edge technologies and staffed by highly qualified clinical experts to provide a wide range of diagnostic services, alongside routine and specialized tests.

It will offer a comprehensive range of diagnostic services in molecular diagnostics, cytogenetics, flow cytometry, microbiology, serology, histopathology, immunology, and hematology, among others.

Leveraging highly advanced automation and streamlined processes, clinicians will deliver highly accurate test results to aid patients in making well-informed decisions about their health.

The strategically-positioned lab will enhance Lupin Diagnostics’ capacity to deliver high-quality and reliable diagnostic services to patients and consumers across Bengaluru and neighbouring cities.

This expansion of Lupin Diagnostics’ network is part of the company’s strategy to build and strengthen its presence in South India,” the company stated.

This strategic move is a key milestone towards strengthening its position as India’s leading diagnostic network and a trusted leader in the healthcare industry.

Moreover, Lupin plans to expand its footprint in South India by opening a total of more than 200 collection centers across the region by March 2024.
