UAE—The Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an, in collaboration with PureHealth and its subsidiary, SEHA, has launched the SEHA Abu Dhabi Dialysis Centre to enhance healthcare access in Abu Dhabi.
This initiative is part of Ma’an’s broader efforts to support social initiatives addressing pressing community needs, aligning with the UAE’s Year of Community.
The SEHA Abu Dhabi Dialysis Centre is designed to provide vital care to residents living with kidney failure, ensuring greater access to essential medical services and improving health outcomes across the community.
By allocating community contributions to this centre, Ma’an aims to foster collective community efforts under its ‘From The Community To The Community’ initiative.
This approach emphasizes the power of a unified community in achieving long-term social impact.
It aligns with the Authority’s commitment to enhancing access to essential healthcare, ultimately improving the well-being of Abu Dhabi’s community members.
Run by SEHA’s expert healthcare teams, the centre offers free dialysis care to those in need, ensuring that life-saving treatment is available to all patients with kidney failure.
His Excellency Abdullah Humaid Al Ameri, Director General of Ma’an, expressed gratitude to all contributors for their invaluable support in establishing the centre.
He highlighted its importance for renal patients and its role in demonstrating the impact of community collaboration.
The centre has already fostered community engagement through creative initiatives.
For instance, the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) brought together renowned artists, including Ghaiath Al Rouba, Nadeem Ka, Charlie VillaGracia, and Christian Ray, to create vibrant murals that enrich the healing environment for patients.
Each artist contributed 40 hours of their time to this project, reflecting the community’s commitment to enhancing the patient experience.
In line with the UAE’s Year of Community, SEHA established the centre to strengthen its commitment to the community, supporting the Abu Dhabi government’s vision for social impact and sustainable development.
Saeed Jaber Al Kuwaiti, Group CEO of SEHA, emphasized SEHA’s dedication to delivering world-class care and ensuring that essential healthcare services are accessible to those in need.
He noted that, as part of PureHealth, SEHA plays a key role in enabling this vital centre, providing both the facility and expertise to support the community.
This initiative serves as a testament to the power of collaboration with Ma’an and PureHealth, driving meaningful impact and improving lives.
Located on Zayed the First Street, the centre will initially accommodate 112 patients undergoing dialysis three times a week.
SEHA plans to expand the facility to serve an additional 56 patients and offer peritoneal dialysis in the future.
The centre is staffed by SEHA Kidney Care professionals and equipped with advanced hemodiafiltration machines integrated with electronic medical records.
This technology enables real-time monitoring and data analytics, enhancing patient care by allowing healthcare providers to track patient health in real-time.
