UAE – Vice Chairman of the Dubai Academic Health Corporation His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has formally kicked off the Medlab Middle East Exhibition and Congress 2023 in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The 22nd edition of Medlab Middle East is currently ongoing at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and will continue until 9th February 2023.
In a press release, the Government of Dubai said: “The Medlab Middle East Congress, with 13 conferences, is the largest CME-accredited multi-track medical laboratory congress globally, offering insights and solutions to enhance laboratory capabilities.”
The four-day event is set to focus on the entire spectrum of the medical laboratory industry while providing multiple learning and networking opportunities for participants.
It features eight core lab conference tracks, along with four new additions covering Point of Care Testing (POCT), Tech Advances and Clinical Impact, New Trends in Laboratory Medicine, Quality Management in the Lab, and Sustainability in the Lab.
Top players in the laboratory industry will converge in the UAE to network and conduct business while exploring the latest technological advancements in the sector.
The event will see the participation of more than 130 regional and international speakers from 12 Continuous Medical Education (CME) conferences and over 5,000 conference delegates.
The speakers are expected to deliver keynote speeches, scientific lectures, and industry briefings.
This year’s medical laboratory expo will host 12 CME accredited conferences both in person and online from 6 – 9 February 2023 at DWTC and 1 online-only conference from 13 – 14 February 2023.
Medlab Middle East 2023, being held under the theme ‘Paving the way to pioneering laboratory knowledge’, will bring together participants worldwide.
It will be a platform for in-depth discussions, peer-to-peer networking, and learning, allowing attendees to gain knowledge and insights from expert analysis.
In addition to knowledge sharing, the medical expo is an ideal opportunity for exhibitors to showcase the latest and most innovative technologies in the laboratory industry.
Top healthcare brands such as Abbott, bioMérieux, One Health, Beckman Coulter, and Randox will be showing their latest products and innovations at the Medlab Middle East Exhibition and Congress.
“This year’s Medlab Middle East has witnessed a 100% increase in exhibitors from 40 countries, totalling over 700,” observed the Government of Dubai.
On the sustainability front, participants will focus on how labs can adopt environmentally-friendly practices and reduce their environmental impact.
This year’s conference also touched on diversity and inclusion in the workforce and provided a roadmap for establishing a culture of sustainability in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) clinical labs.
It aligns with one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
In addition to environmental sustainability, the medical laboratory expo showcasing cutting-edge technology will play a significant role in establishing Dubai as one of the world’s premier healthcare sectors.
It is in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make Dubai the best city to live and work in.
Dubai strives to constantly improve as a venue for international events where industry leaders can come together to address major health challenges facing humanity.
