Medcare expands medical centre network in UAE

UAE—Medcare, one of the UAE’s leading healthcare providers, has announced the expansion of its network of medical centres to meet the rising demand for easily accessible, high-quality healthcare services.

In 2024, the company launched six new centres and plans to open five more before the end of the financial year, bringing the total number of Medcare Medical Centres across Dubai and Sharjah to 26.

These state-of-the-art facilities are designed as community hubs, offering more than just general clinic services.

They provide comprehensive primary care under one roof, with specialized doctors and experienced staff supported by in-house diagnostic solutions.

Additional services such as physiotherapy further enhance the patient experience.

The new centres will significantly increase access to healthcare, complementing the five multi-speciality hospitals Medcare operates across Dubai and Sharjah.

In 2023, the centres served more than 400,000 people, and by 2024, that number exceeded half a million—a 20% increase in just one year.

Strategically located in prime neighborhoods such as Palm Jumeirah, Tilal Al Ghaf, Damac Hills, and Al Furjan in Dubai, as well as Al Zahia in Sharjah, Medcare’s new centres are making healthcare more convenient for families.

They offer a broad range of specialties including general medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology, orthopedics, dental care, family medicine, and more.

By positioning these centres in easily accessible locations, Medcare ensures that families no longer need to travel far for quality care, providing convenience without compromising on medical standards.

Additionally, since introducing MRI screenings last year, Medcare has completed over 500 MRIs in just two months, further demonstrating their commitment to meeting patient needs.

Ms. Alisha Moopen, Managing Director & Group CEO of Aster DM Healthcare, shared that expanding medical centres in family-focused neighborhoods is part of Medcare’s goal to make premium healthcare services more accessible.

She emphasized that as Medcare continues to grow, its priority remains to ensure patients have access to world-class care in convenient locations.

Dr Shanila Laiju, Group CEO of Medcare Hospitals and Medical Centres, noted that Medcare is transforming healthcare by adopting modern, patient-centred practices.

From digital appointment booking to telemedicine and specialized services, Medcare continues to raise the bar in healthcare delivery.

She added that digital health is at the core of Medcare’s strategy, making healthcare more accessible and efficient.

Samer Hatoum, COO of Medcare Hospitals and Medical Centres, explained that the new centres would not only provide essential services such as pediatrics and general medicine but also specialized treatments including orthopedics, sports medicine, endocrinology, pulmonology, and more.

Medcare’s focus on advanced medical technologies, such as radiography and MRI services, aims to enhance the quality of care and improve patients’ health outcomes.

By expanding both physically and technologically, Medcare is building a robust healthcare network that benefits both residents and medical tourists.
