MEDEXPO Kenya is recognized as the region’s premier trade exhibition for medical manufacturing products, equipment, machinery, services, and solutions.
KENYA—The 25th edition of MEDEXPO Kenya 2025 has officially opened in Nairobi, marking a significant event in East Africa’s medical and healthcare calendar.
This three-day exhibition runs from May 14 to 16 at the Sarit Expo Centre, bringing together over 160 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, including Kenya, Turkey, India, Slovakia, Egypt, Iran, Indonesia, and several European and Middle Eastern nations.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Tom Mange, Director of the Directorate of Health Products and Technologies at Kenya’s Ministry of Health.
Among the distinguished guests at the opening ceremony were ambassadors, high commissioners, and key decision-makers from Kenya and the wider East African region.
This highlights the event’s importance as a hub for international cooperation and investment in healthcare.
MEDEXPO Kenya is recognized as the region’s premier trade exhibition for medical manufacturing products, equipment, machinery, services, and solutions.
It serves as a vital platform where global suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors showcase over 10,000 products, including pharmaceuticals, hospital supplies, diagnostics, surgical devices, dental equipment, vaccine refrigeration, and more.
The exhibition is designed to meet the needs of buyers and healthcare professionals from across East Africa, providing access to the latest innovations and technologies in the medical field.
Kenya’s healthcare market is one of the fastest-growing in sub-Saharan Africa, driven by a rising population, urbanization, and expanding health insurance coverage.
Despite this growth, the medical device sector remains heavily reliant on imports, with limited domestic manufacturing.
This event therefore plays a crucial role in connecting Kenyan buyers with international suppliers and investors, fostering growth and development in the sector.
This year’s MEDEXPO highlights a strong presence from countries such as Slovakia, India, Iran, Egypt, Turkey, and Indonesia, reflecting a major push to attract investment into Kenya’s healthcare market.
Exhibitors include notable companies like Arab Medical Kenya, Abay Pharma from Turkey, Swiss-based Solweya Engineering, and India’s Poly Medicure Limited, all showcasing cutting-edge medical technologies and services.
The exhibition enjoys support from key organizations including the Kenya Medical Association, Ministry of Economy and Industry, Nairobi City County, Kenya Healthcare Federation, Kenya Medical Women’s Association, Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council, Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya, and the Association of Medical Engineering of Kenya.
Other participants include private hospitals, healthcare providers, and professional unions, highlighting the event’s broad sectoral engagement.
MEDEXPO Kenya 2025 is not only a marketplace but also a networking hub for healthcare professionals, importers, distributors, and investors.
It offers an unparalleled opportunity to explore the latest medical and healthcare products and to engage with industry leaders shaping the future of healthcare in East Africa.
The event’s timing aligns with Kenya’s ongoing healthcare reforms and the drive towards universal health coverage, making it a critical platform for advancing the country’s healthcare infrastructure and services.
