INDIA – Metropolis Healthcare Limited has opened its newest state-of-the-art diagnostic testing centre situated in the Rohini subcity to expand its presence in the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi, India.

Situated in India’s capital territory, the newly launched diagnostic laboratory can process more than 200 samples per day, with quick turnaround times and high-quality reports.

The new facility will ensure patients have access to a comprehensive range of diagnostic tests in routine, semi-specialty, and super-specialty domains like Oncology, Neurology, Gynaecology, and Nephrology.

In an official note, Dr. Naresh Chawla, National Joint Secretary, IMA Headquarters and Vice President Delhi Medical Council, said: “High-quality diagnostic testing services that are easily accessible and available in a timely manner are crucial for providing prompt and successful treatment, saving lives and improving community health outcomes.”

Metropolis has now grown its presence in Delhi NCR with its newest diagnostic testing centre, marking its 10th advanced laboratory in the union territory of India.

The new facility will complement the quality services offered by existing branches and share the responsibility of providing high-quality diagnostic testing services to the citizens of Rohini and the nearby areas.

This strategic move will pave the way for key players in the diagnostics industry to make adjustments in service delivery, with a focus on the correction of inverted duty structure to facilitate import substitution and self-reliance.

Additionally, this expansion will help Metropolis to cement further its position as the leading multinational chain of pathology laboratories and diagnostic centers in India.

On his part, Surendran Chemmenkottil, Chief Executive Officer of Metropolis Healthcare Ltd noted: “Metropolis has grown its presence in Delhi over the years by establishing 10 advanced laboratories and more than 60 patient collection centres that serve a network of hospitals and doctors across the state.”

Metropolis has a team of highly skilled pathologists and technicians delivering diagnostic solutions in the different areas of routine, semi-specialty, and super-specialty domains.

The company offers a comprehensive range of over 4,000 clinical laboratory tests and profiles, which are used for the prediction, early detection, diagnostic screening, confirmation, and monitoring of the disease.

Its NABL and CAP-accredited pathology labs and diagnostic centres are equipped with the latest technology and manned by a certified team of 200 senior pathologists and over 2,000 technicians.

With the latest network expansion, Metropolis aims to bridge the healthcare accessibility gap by equipping medical professionals with the advanced tools they need to make sound clinical decisions.

It aligns with the medical laboratory company’s commitment to providing a wide range of accurate and reliable diagnostic services to the local community.

In line with its strategic priorities, Metropolis recently introduced a new tech-powered chatbot called Metrobot for medical purposes.

Metropolis also intends to engage with more than 100,000 doctors in the debut year on the new tech-powered chatbot, with plans to engage with a larger number in the future.

Speaking on the opening of the new lab in Rohini, Surendran Chemmenkottil underscored: “With our modern technology and skilled professionals, we are poised to set new benchmarks in accurate diagnosis and patient-centric care.”
