INDIA – Metropolis Healthcare Limited has opened its new advanced diagnostic testing centre in Kottayam Constituency in Kerala, marking its steady expansion into the Indian state.
This recent development follows the launch of Metropolis’ NextGen HLA Typing Test to determine whether a patient has a suitable donor for bone marrow, cord blood, or organ transplant.
The inauguration ceremony of Metropolis’ diagnostic laboratory was officiated by Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Kottayam.
Located in central Kerala, the new state-of-the-art diagnostic centre will offer a wide range of extensive tests and reports of the highest quality at affordable rates.
In a press release, Metropolis said: “This world-class diagnostic testing centre can process up to 500 samples per day, ranging from basic day-to-day pathology tests to high-end molecular diagnostic tests.”
Metropolis’ new facility is staffed by highly qualified clinical experts to provide diagnostic accuracy and super specialty pathology expertise to the clinicians, hospitals, and patients of Kottayam.
It will offer a wide range of diagnostic services, alongside routine and specialized tests, including basic lab tests and molecular genomics, all under one lens to ensure optimal treatment.
The Kottayam lab will build on ongoing efforts to advance the city’s healthcare system, as well as improve access to high-quality diagnostic services, technology, and doctors in near-patient settings.
“We believe in precise and conclusive diagnostics and laboratory monitoring whether it be wellness, chronic disease management, women and child health or highly complex areas like oncology and transplant immunology,” the company reaffirmed to the consumers.
Moreover, Metropolis Healthcare has further expanded its diagnostic testing service business in the Indian state of Kerala with the opening of advanced diagnostic centres in strategic locations.
The Indian diagnostic service provider has sites in Kerala’s Thrissur, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Alleppey, Perumbavoor, Palakkad, and Kannur.
On his part, Surendran Chemmenkottil, Chief Executive Officer of Metropolis Healthcare Limited asserted: “Metropolis, being the frontrunner, finds value in the expansion of their testing centres to serve the community with top quality and timely reports.”
He outlined that Metropolis has strengthened its presence in Kerala over the years by setting up more than 70 patient service collection centres, noting that the company serves a wide network of hospitals and doctors throughout the Indian state.
“Following the launch of our new processing lab in Kottayam, we look forward to taking the baton from our existing branches and sharing the responsibility of providing high-quality diagnostic testing services to the citizens in Kottayam,” said Chemmenkottil.
