UAE – The United Arab Emirates will be hosting the Middle East’s first Transplant Oncology Conference on 20th May 2023 at the Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers.

Similarly, the first-ever Dubai Stem Cell Congress (DSCC) kicked off at the Waldorf Astoria in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates earlier this year.

Qatar also successfully hosted the inaugural Stem Cell Transplantation Conference at Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) headquarters in Doha.

Transplant Oncology Conference 2023, which is the first-of-its-kind event in the Middle East, will be held in a hybrid mode as it can be accessed by both in-person participants and virtual participants.

Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, a Cabinet member and the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, the conference will focus on transplant oncology.

The application of oncology, transplant medicine, and surgery to improve patients’ survival and quality of life is the core of transplant oncology.

The upcoming Transplant Oncology Conference is backed by the Emirates Oncology Society, the Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation (SCOT), and Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services.

With accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, the symposium is also endorsed by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, and the Kuwait Society for Oncology.

The Gulf Cancer Society and Emirates Health are also supporting Middle East’s first-ever Transplant Oncology Conference.

This one-day event under the theme ‘Evolving Field in Cancer Care’ will focus on a novel concept of cancer treatment that combines the fields of transplantation and oncology.

It comes at a pivotal time as scientists are utilizing technological innovation to advance hepatobiliary cancer therapy and research, and provide patients a path toward better disease management.

On her part, Cathy Easter, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Houston Methodist Global, asserted: “With a unique mix of experience, expertise, and multidisciplinary strength, Houston Methodist is a leader in this emerging field.”

She emphasized that the field of transplant oncology has the potential to significantly improve patient survival rates and quality of life.

The forthcoming event will serve as an excellent opportunity for participants had the opportunity to exchange knowledge about different types of stem cell transplants.

The event offers a chance for regionally and internationally renowned speakers in the oncology field to engage on how to improve health outcomes and accelerate the development of a potential cure.

Additionally, several medical experts will deliver industry briefings on liver transplantation for hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, colorectal, and neuroendocrine liver metastases.

Participants will also gain insights into cancer recurrence after liver transplantation and the role of novel chemotherapeutic and biological therapy agents in improving transplantation outcomes.

Middle East’s first-ever Transplant Oncology Conference presents a chance for speakers to highlight the applications of ctDNA in the field of transplant oncology.

It is expected to gather global specialists and opinion leaders in transplant oncology, radiology, surgery, hepatology, and immunology.
