UAE – The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment in the United Arab Emirates (MOCCAE) and PureHealth Group have agreed to undertake a joint study on the impact of air quality on public health.
Under the new agreement, the MOCCAE and PureHealth will jointly evaluate air pollution-related risks on people’s health and the factors affecting the longevity and quality of life of the people in the UAE.
This study project of national importance builds on the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the people of the UAE.
It mirrors the ministry’s focus on fostering a sustainable future for the United Arab Emirates and the world through strategic partnerships.
In her address, Her Excellency Mariam Almheiri, the Minister of Climate Change and Environment, said: “By evaluating the impact of air quality on health, we can make informed decisions that contribute to effective climate action, community health, and overall sustainability.”

The study project is expected to play a crucial role in addressing the challenges of climate change and enhancing the health and well-being of the UAE people.

The main mandate of this Joint Working Committee will be overseeing the implementation of the activities outlined in the agreement.
The committee will meet periodically to review progress, share information, and address any challenges encountered in the process.
