The signing ceremony was presided over by Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, Chief Executive Officer of Mubadala Health, and Dr. Mouza Abdulla Alsharhan, President of Emirates Medical Association.
Mubadala Health and Emirates Medical Association, a non-profit organization led by qualified medical doctors, have agreed to co-develop education and training programmes, training centres, and educational materials.

The two parties will leverage their collective expertise and resources to conduct research studies and clinical trials.
In the long term, Mubadala Health and Emirates Medical Association will develop new healthcare options for a wide variety of medical conditions.
As part of this strategic deal, Mubadala Health will assign key opinion leaders from their institutions to work with EMA-supported societies to overview the works on agreed fields of collaboration.
These institutions include Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Amana Healthcare, National Reference Laboratory (NRL), Abu Dhabi Telemedicine Centre (ADTC), and Moorfields Eye Hospital – Abu Dhabi, just to name a few.
Welcoming the partnership agreement, Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, CEO of Mubadala Health, asserted: “Through this collaboration, we aim to continue our work in advancing healthcare in the UAE and wider region, with a focus on continuous capacity development.”
Additionally, Mubadala Health and EMA will explore potential areas of cooperation to advance medical education and research opportunities for healthcare professionals in the UAE.
The two parties will work closely to enhance the availability of continuous professional development programmes across multiple specialisations to elevate and progress national expertise and capabilities.
The collaboration builds on the Emirates Medical Association’s mission to advance the national standards of healthcare, with a particular emphasis on education.
“We aim to play a vital role in improving the quality of healthcare in the UAE, by being an integral part of the professional life of every physician,” stated Dr. Mouza Abdulla Alsharhan, President of Emirates Medical Association said in a press release.
Since its inception in 1981, EMA is responsible for supervising and conducting scientific training, events, and conferences as well as collaborating with health organizations.
The Dubai-headquartered scientific organization aims to improve professional performance, develop and encourage skills, and enrich scientific theory and practice in the different health fields.
“We are pleased to partner with Mubadala Health to improve the healthcare industry in the UAE,” underscored the President of the Emirates Medical Association.
In line with the terms of the partnership agreement with Mubadala Health, EMA will support the enrolment of Mubadala Health physicians under medical societies and clubs affiliated with the association.
“We strive to keep our members up to date with global changes and advancements in practice within the medical field,” said Dr. Abdulla Alsharhan.
Moreover, this strategic alliance will contribute to the strengthening of the Abu Dhabi healthcare ecosystem, marking a significant milestone for both healthcare entities.
