Netrika Healthcare ventures into West Africa through two strategic partnerships in the region

WEST AFRICA— Netrika Healthcare, part of N3.group and Kashmir MEDICA Group, is set to expand its services and products to West Africa through a cooperation agreement with Nigerian-based Megasky Network and Ghanaian HIRED Consult.

The cooperation agreements were agreed upon and signed at the just concluded Russia–Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum 2023 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The agreement seeks primarily to promote Russian digital solutions for public and private healthcare in West Africa.

Moreover, it proposes solutions that have been tried and tested successfully in the Russian healthcare system.

Netrika Healthcare’s products are developed based on the HL7 FHIR international standard for the exchange of medical information and the use of freely distributed software, giving a green light to the introduction of the N3.Healthcare platform to foreign markets.

The agreement was signed by Igor Bashkov, Netrika Healthcare’s CCO, Chinonso I. Ezenwuba, Director of Megasky Network Nigeria Limited, and John Aggrey, Founder and CEO of HIRED Consult.

“In Nigeria and other African countries, we are seeing a serious demand for healthcare digitalization, as well as substantive interest in telemedicine and electronic medical services for patients,” acknowledged Ezenwuba.

Bashkov said that during the negotiations, Netrika was able to demonstrate their developments to their West African counterparts.

He added that choosing the right Information Technology architecture to manage a proliferating IT ecosystem was a cornerstone to profitability and sustainable growth.

“Our products are capable of solving tasks that are relevant for African countries, namely developing telemedical consultations under shortage of doctors and engaging the population in taking care of their own health,” added the Chief Operating Officer.

Who is Netrika Healthcare and what can they do for the West Africa Healthcare system?

Netrika Healthcare specializes in the development of integrative IT solutions for public healthcare.

The company’s flagship product is the N3.Healthcare platform provides useful services for patients, doctors, and healthcare organizers.

The company’s solutions have been implemented in 21 regions of the Russian Federation and are used by the Federal Medical and Biological Agency and the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia.

More than 45 million residents of Russia receive medical care in healthcare institutions connected to the company’s services.

N3.Healthcare is an e-health integration platform that connects healthcare information systems through application programming interfaces (API) based on HL7 FHIR to exchange information about patients.

The platform has 14 modules that cover core regional healthcare processes including electronic appointment scheduling, integrated electronic medical record, laboratory data exchange, diagnostic imaging exchange, patient referral management, master patient index, business intelligence, and terminology management system.

Speaking to Foreign Media via an online link, Founder and CEO of HIRED Consult Ghana, John Aggrey, stated, “Ghana and Nigeria have taken the bolder steps on tapping into knowledge-innovation transfers and investments, and there is no better time than now for young companies to “face the giants” and take a stand as entrepreneurs.”

Megasky Network Nigeria Limited, Head of Communications and Projects, Michael Acquah, who was also present at the official signing, was full of admiration for what young businesses in Africa can achieve.

“There has come a time in history were given the same level playing field, Ghanaian-Nigerian young businesses and Africa as a whole will be a major force to reckon with,” said Acquah.
