INDIA – A new multi-million Institute of Heart Lungs Diseases & Research Centre (IHLD) is slated to open in the national capital of India in the coming months.

The construction of the Institute of Heart Lungs Diseases & Research Centre is currently underway to provide a broad range of specialised healthcare services for heart and lung diseases.

The new facility is designed to cater to persons with heart and lung diseases, with a focus on complex surgeries, therapies for end-stage heart and lung diseases, and transplants.

This project is the brainchild of Dr. Rahul Chandola, a distinguished surgeon with over twenty years of experience in the healthcare industry.

In an official statement, Dr. Rahul Chandola, Founder-Chairman and Chief of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery of IHLD, underscored: “We are committed to bringing to India the latest advancements in Heart & Lung treatments & surgeries.”

Dr. Rahul Chandola has served at some of the world’s best hospitals, including Toronto General Hospital, Sunnybrook Hospital, University of Alberta, and Humboldt University, Germany.

The Institute of Heart Lungs Diseases & Research Centre’s opening represents his unyielding efforts to promote the transformation of cardio-thoracic & transplant healthcare.

The facility will house various dedicated operation theatres, a hybrid Cath Lab, cardiac & transplant Intensive Care Units, outpatient departments (OPDs), and a cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation program.

IHLD will leverage the power of Artificial Intelligence to increase patient access to its unique cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation program.

This unique cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation program focuses on physiotherapy for the affected muscles only.

In turn, specialists can offer effective and customized treatment plans according to the patient’s needs and debility.

The Institute of Heart Lungs Diseases & Research Centre will soon open its doors for more patients to enroll in its AI-driven motion sensing and skeletal muscle strength assessment program.

Backed by the Hans Foundation, IHLD will bring in a team of highly-skilled cardio-thoracic surgeons, transplant physicians, intensivists, cardiologists, rehabilitation specialists, nurses, and experienced social workers at its New Delhi-based facility.

IHLD has tied up with Pushpawati Singhania Research Institute (PSRI Hospital) in Sheikh Sarai, Delhi to deliver the best possible treatments for heart and lung diseases.

PSRI Hospital is a multi-specialty institute of national and international repute with state-of-the-art facilities coupled with the latest equipment and renowned consultants.

IHLD’s staff will work closely with health professionals based at PSRI Hospital in New Delhi to provide curative, preventive, and compassionate medical care.

Consequently, the Institute of Heart Lungs Diseases & Research Centre will complement and extend the efforts of other institutes delivering specialised services in India.

It will also help in stemming the rising number of patients leaving the country to access these cutting-edge, complex medical procedures overseas.
