New Emergency Department launches at Burjeel Royal Hospital in Al Ain

UAE – Burjeel Royal Hospital in Al Ain, in conjunction with Burjeel Holdings, celebrated the launch of a full-fledged Emergency Department.

Following the introduction of emergency services, the Burjeel Royal Hospital, which is strategically located in the Central District of Al Ain, is poised to enhance accessibility to critical healthcare services.

In a press release, Burjeel Holdings said: “The newly launched 25-bed Emergency Department at Burjeel Royal Hospital will operate 24/7, welcoming ambulance cases that require immediate medical attention.”

His Excellency Ali Khalifa Al Qamzy, General Manager of Al Ain City Municipality presided over the inauguration ceremony for the fully-fledged Emergency Department at Burjeel Royal Hospital in Al Ain.

Lieutenant Colonel Saif Juma Al Kaabi, Head of the Ambulance Department in Al Ain City, John Sunil, Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), were also in attendance at the inauguration ceremony.

Additionally, the inauguration ceremony was attended Dr. Saleh Fares Al Ali, Executive Director of the Center for Emergency Preparedness and Response at the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH).

In his address, Dr. Saleh Fares Al Ali highlighted: “The Department of Health’s involvement in inaugurating the Emergency Department at Burjeel Royal Hospital, Al Ain, underscores our commitment to enhancing community health services.”

Dr. Saleh Fares Al Ali disclosed that the DoH is collaborating closely with the hospital administration and the Emergency Department at Burjeel Royal Hospital to facilitate the successful launch of this essential facility.

With the launch, Burjeel Royal Hospital in Al Ain has expanded its healthcare offerings in a significant step forward in catering to the community’s needs.

This healthcare initiative is poised to address numerous emergency situations effectively, marking a significant and valuable addition for the residents of Al Ain.

In his address, Dr. Zuhair Alsharafi, Corporate Director of Emergency Services at Burjeel Holdings, commented: “We aim to deliver emergency care swiftly, efficiently, and accurately, ensuring patients’ faster and more effective recovery.”

Dr. Zuhair Alsharafi highlighted that the newly inaugurated Emergency Department is equipped with cutting-edge medical and diagnostic technology, supported by evidence-based protocols and staffed by emergency-trained experts.

To be specific, the fully-fledged Emergency Department in Al Ain is led by a team of highly experienced emergency and trauma care experts, including board-certified emergency physicians, nurses, and support staff.

The hospital specialists will be dedicated to ensuring that adult and pediatric patients receive comprehensive care across a spectrum of medical and surgical emergencies.

In particular, the hospital specialists offering expertise in cardiac, neurology, neurosurgery, pulmonology, general surgery, urology, internal medicine, ENT, ophthalmology, and more.

The specialists are expected to collaborate seamlessly to provide high-quality holistic emergency medical care promptly and safely.

Moreover, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH) has officially granted Burjeel Royal Hospital the license to provide around-the-clock emergency care services to patients.

The Emergency Department license enables Burjeel Holdings to extend its capabilities in meeting the urgent medical needs of the Al Ain region, ranging from minor trauma to life-threatening situations.

On his part, Mr. John Sunil, Group CEO of Burjeel Holdings, expressed deep gratitude for the Department of Health’s support and guidance.
