UAE – A brand-new oncology facility christened the Fatima bint Mubarak Center has officially opened at the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) focused on personalized cancer care.
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, the Fatima bint Mubarak Center opened its doors to patients to improve their outcomes and quality of life.
The oncology center was inaugurated in the presence of Abu Dhabi Government officials, members of Mubadala Investment Company’s leadership team, and high-level guests from regional and international partner organizations.
In a press release, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi said: “The Fatima bint Mubarak Center will provide personalized care throughout each cancer patient’s journey, with a key focus on sophisticated screening and diagnostic testing, advanced radiation treatments, and precision cellular therapies.”
The 19,000 square meter oncology center has a group of world-class experts comprising of 150 world-class nurses, physicians, and radiologists to provide dedicated care within the cancer care sphere.
In addition, the multidisciplinary oncology team with a wide array of skills and specialized knowledge guarantee a comprehensive, patient-centric approach to developing treatment plans based on the individual’s history and condition.
“The new center houses 32 exam rooms for multidisciplinary cancer consultation, 24 private infusion rooms for administering medications intravenously, two procedure rooms, and an area devoted exclusively to women’s oncology services,” stated the Abu Dhabi-based multispecialty hospital.
Based on Cleveland Clinic’s Taussig Cancer Center, the Fatima bint Mubarak Center in Abu Dhabi brings an integrated and transformative approach to diagnosing and treating cancer-related diseases in the UAE.
The opening of the specialized care center represents a significant milestone in the development of the region’s healthcare industry and further cements Abu Dhabi’s position as a global leader in the life sciences industry.
