Prof. Turki Albacker named CEO of Aster Sanad Hospital in Saudi Arabia

SAUDI ARABIA—Aster DM Healthcare, a leading integrated healthcare provider in the GCC region, has announced the appointment of Professor Turki B. Albacker as the Chief Executive Officer of Aster Sanad Hospital in Saudi Arabia.

Reporting directly to Mohamed Alshamari, CEO of Aster Hospitals & Clinics in Saudi Arabia, Prof. Turki will oversee hospital strategy, optimize patient care, and expand services while maintaining high standards of healthcare delivery.

In his new position, Prof. Turki aims to strengthen Aster Sanad Hospital’s reputation by implementing efficient operational processes and improving overall performance.

His leadership is expected to support the organization’s long-term vision and advance its mission of providing exceptional healthcare services.

Commenting on the appointment, Mohamed Alshamari expressed confidence in Prof. Turki’s ability to lead Aster Sanad Hospital toward achieving its goals.

Prof. Turki has an impressive background, having held prominent roles such as Chairman of the Cardiac Sciences Department at King Fahad Cardiac Center and Dean of Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz College for Emergency Medical Services.

 He also served as Vice President of the Saudi Society of Cardiac Surgeons, contributing significantly to medical policy and education.

With nine years of experience in revenue cycle management and health insurance, Prof. Turki brings valuable insights into improving financial performance and operational efficiency in healthcare settings.

 He holds an MBBS from King Saud University, a Master’s degree in Experimental Surgery from McGill University, and an MBA in Health Management from the University of Colorado.

Additionally, he is a Fellow of several prestigious medical organizations, including the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
