UAE — The Emirates Foundation has teamed with PureHealth to establish the Active Abu Dhabi initiative, which aims to encourage active and healthy lives in Abu Dhabi through a year-long schedule of fitness activities commencing on March 18, 2024, for 14 days.

Zawya reported that H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, attended the launch.

According to recent data from Abu Dhabi’s Department of Community Development, a promising 37.3 percent of the population already fulfils the World Health Organization’s worldwide physical activity criteria.

Active Abu Dhabi, whose objective is to pioneer a series of yearly active lifestyle events, intends to capitalize on this momentum by increasing sports participation, advancing positive societal interaction, and encouraging a larger segment of the community to adopt an active lifestyle.

The collaboration between PureHealth and Active Abu Dhabi, which is powered by Pura, PureHealth’s comprehensive, personalised AI-enabled longevity app, is expected to have an influence on the community by supporting a healthier, more resilient society where individual wellness is prioritized.

Pura will provide access to challenges while also rewarding participation with incentives, so increasing total involvement in Active Abu Dhabi and progressing toward a healthier lifestyle.

The collaboration aligns with PureHealth’s purpose of improving lifespan for all and inspiring people to improve their holistic health and well-being.

According to Ahmed Al Shamsi, CEO of the Emirates Foundation, the partnership between PureHealth and Active Abu Dhabi represents a key milestone in their collaborative efforts to effect positive change.

He went on to say that a combination of their expertise and resources will ignite a movement toward a healthier, more connected community, and together, they will redefine what’s possible in promoting health, wellness, and community engagement, setting a new standard for impactful partnerships in Abu Dhabi and beyond.

Shaista Asif, Group Chief Executive Officer of PureHealth, stated that PureHealth’s mission for extending longevity is to free up time for humans so that they can live longer, healthier, happier, and fuller lives.

Assif feels that their work with Active Abu Dhabi will help them get closer to realizing their vision of a thriving, health-conscious community that prioritizes wellness.
