USA—UAE-based healthcare group PureHealth Holding has announced that its associate, Ardent Health, has expanded its network in the United States by acquiring 18 urgent care clinics.

This strategic move underscores PureHealth’s commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility globally and boosting its growth through targeted acquisitions.

The 18 clinics, located across New Mexico and Oklahoma, were acquired from NextCare Urgent Care, a major provider of urgent care services in the region.

Six clinics in New Mexico are now part of the Lovelace Health System, while the remaining 12 clinics in Oklahoma join the Hillcrest HealthCare System.

This acquisition significantly strengthens Ardent Health’s ambulatory operations and expands its presence in key US markets.

This transaction follows Ardent’s previous acquisition of nine urgent care centers in East Texas and Topeka earlier in 2024.

The latest addition further solidifies Ardent’s position in mid-sized urban communities across the US, aligning with PureHealth’s strategy of building a sustainable, globally integrated healthcare network.

Marty Bonick, CEO of Ardent Health, emphasized the importance of expanding their urgent care footprint, stating that it represents a significant step toward creating a consumer-focused care ecosystem in their communities.

He added that these new clinics will help improve access to convenient, high-quality services for patients, ensuring they receive care when and where they need it most.

Bonick also highlighted that the expansion brings new patients into the network while increasing the capacity to serve those already seeking care in clinics and emergency departments.

In line with this growth, PureHealth continues to focus on scaling its international operations. The company is leveraging a “bolt-on” strategy, utilizing its investments to drive sustainable growth and deliver value to its stakeholders.

Ardent Health, which went public in July 2024, has already seen a positive impact from these efforts.

In the third quarter of 2024, Ardent Health reported US$1.45 billion in revenue, marking a 5.20% increase from the same period in 2023.

Admissions also rose by 6.40% year-over-year, reflecting the growing demand for healthcare services.

PureHealth itself has seen impressive results, with a net profit of AED 1.43 billion for the first nine months of 2024, highlighting the success of its ongoing efforts to expand and enhance its global healthcare network.
