UAE – PureHealth Group, the largest healthcare platform in the Middle East, has welcomed the first cohort of graduates from its Emirati Development Center (EDC) in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

PureHealth made a long-term commitment to develop 1,000 future Emirati leaders within the next few years.

Hence, the UAE-based group follows up on its commitment to empowering the Emirati workforce through the dedicated initiative, Emirati Development Center.

The graduation ceremony for the first cohort of PureHealth’s Emirati Development Center was held at its premises in Abu Dhabi.

From over 200 applications, 50 Emirati professionals were selected for the first cohort the PureHealth’s Emirati Development Center.

The cohort of 50 EDC graduates has successfully completed the program, which places special emphasis on empowering Emirati women.

In her introductory address, Shaista Asif, PureHealth’s Group Chief Operating Officer, outlined: “We have proactively invested in the growth and professional advancement of the current graduates, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to lead the healthcare sector of the future.”

Moreover, the official graduation ceremony for the first cohort of PureHealth’s Emirati Development Center was well-attended by esteemed dignitaries.

Shaista Asif, PureHealth’s Group Chief Operating Officer, Rashid Al Qubaisi, Chief Corporate Officer of PureHealth, and His Excellency Matar Saeed Rashed Al Nuaimi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre, participated in the solemn ceremony.

This positive result underpins PureHealth’s Emirati Development Center goal of fostering a highly skilled workforce comprising Emirati nationals in the United Arab Emirates.

The dedicated program enrolls trainees into a focused learning and development program tailored to every individual to ensure their growth is maximized and they reach new heights by unlocking their potential.

It has adopted the principles of The Development Edge (TDE), created by notable Harvard faculties Dr. Robert Kegan and Dr. Lisa Lahey, who employ their Developmental Sprint model to foster talent, drive revenues, rise to new challenges and accelerate professional growth.

The Emirati Development Center is anticipated to attract brilliant minds that can further propel the establishment of the UAE as an emerging global hub for healthcare and life sciences.

On his part, Rashid Al Qubaisi, Chief Corporate Officer of PureHealth, stated: “We have created a program that is tailored to meet the Emirati workforce aspirations, enable them to leverage their strengths as well as enhance their efficiency and productivity.”

By nurturing and supporting the next generation of Emirati leaders, PureHealth’s Emirati Development Center seeks to support the national efforts to elevate the caliber of the native workforce.

It builds on the Group’s unwavering commitment to promoting Emiratization within the healthcare sector, in alignment with the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.

The second cohort of PureHealth’s Emirati Development Center is set to commence by August 2023 and will target more than 130 Individuals.

The program will focus on targeted learning and development interventions across three segments of talent, namely Leader of Self, Leader of Others, and Leader of Leaders.
