QATAR – In the public sector in Qatar, the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has begun a nationwide campaign to promote the use of its medical application called the Nar’aakom app.
The Primary Health Care Corporation’s extensive campaign also seeks to raise public awareness of the 107 hotline. The hotline is staffed by highly trained healthcare professionals who are ready to provide accurate information and guide callers to the appropriate medical care.
The awareness campaign will focus on educating Qatar residents about the power of leveraging the Nar’aakom app and the 107 hotline as easy tools for accessing medical services.
In a press release, the PHCC said: “The Nar’aakom app is a user-friendly bilingual platform providing complete management of services such as keeping track of the health card expiry date and online renewal, accessing the assigned health center and finding a personal assigned family physician.”
The Primary Health Care Corporation further said that the Nar’aakom app makes it easier for patients to change to the preferred health centre and family physician at the registered health centre.
Headquartered in Doha, the Primary Health Care Corporation manages different health centers and is the main provider of primary care in the state of Qatar.
PHCC has more than 1,710,112 registered individuals. More than 5,000 clinicians serve across 31 health centers.
The PHCC provided a variety of healthcare services at various health centers throughout the state, including mental health, screening, pharmacy, and nursing services.
Overall, the PHCC’s new initiative will feature a range of awareness campaigns encouraging people to actively engage in their healthcare needs and avail the benefits available across 31 health centers.
“Recognising the importance of accessible healthcare, the PHCC campaign leverages social media platforms, websites, and billboards to reach a wide audience across Qatar,” announced the healthcare provider.
The Primary Health Care Corporation has launched its ‘Reaching our services easier now’ campaign as part of the company’s goal of keeping access open to patients across the state of Qatar.
The campaign under the theme “Reaching our services easier now” highlights that appointments could be fixed or rescheduled for patients or their dependents for clinics.
Patients can book or request appointments online for a wide range of health services, including family medicine, smoking cessation, dental services, mental health services, and dietetics.
The objective of this campaign is also to provide PHCC-approved information about early screening services at designated health centres, through the Nar’aakom app and the 107 hotline.
The Nar’aakom application is currently available for download in the iOS app store and google play store to provide smooth end-to-end services to clients in Qatar.
“To access services, individuals need to have an account with Qatar’s National Authentication System (Tawtheeq). Any resident with a Qatar ID (QID) and over 18 years of age can access the online offerings,” pointed out the PHCC.
Comparably, the Primary Health Care Corporation launched its unified ‘Hayak 107’ for all health centres making it easier for visitors to receive information and schedule appointments.
Through PHCC’s unified ‘Hayak 107’ for health centres, Qatar residents can receive medical information and schedule appointments. The service is available in five languages.
