UAE – RAK Hospital, a unit of Arabian Healthcare Group, has set up a new post-COVID clinic within its premises based in Ras al Khaimah, the United Arab Emirates.
Located in Al Juwais, the new state-of-the-art facility is designed to address the needs, challenges, and uncertainties of individuals experiencing persistent symptoms even after recovering from COVID-19.
It marks a significant step forward in establishing a new standard for specialized care in the UAE, aligning with RAK Hospital’s unwavering dedication to the well-being and happiness of its patients.
The new post-COVID clinic features pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy, oxygen therapy, medication management, and rehabilitation programs.
This clinic housed within RAK Hospital will offer consultations and computerized tomography (CT) to meet the unique needs of long COVID patients in Ras Al Khaimah and beyond.
RAK Hospital is offering 100 free CT chest scans to individuals suffering from long COVID along with complimentary consultation with Dr. Suha Alsheikh Suleman, Specialist Pulmonologist.
Through this innovative initiative, RAK Hospital will continue to offer free limited consultations and CT scans until the end of July 2023.
Commenting on the new initiative, Dr. Raza Siddiqui, Executive Director of RAK Hospital, said: “The clinic will be fully supported by the hospital’s pulmonary medicine department, which is completely equipped to offer a wide range of services to effectively diagnose and treat pulmonary conditions.”
It is part of the RAK Hospital’s commitment to advancing community well-being by investing in unique initiatives to ensure the health and safety of individuals and communities.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, RAK Hospital introduced an exclusive COVID PCR testing center providing quick test results.
The hospitals also introduced the first antibody treatment against the virus in the United Arab Emirates.
RAK Hospital also launched comprehensive rehabilitation and support for COVID long-haulers residing in the UAE.
Moreover, the healthcare facility rolled out the Middle East’s first-ever comprehensive ‘Online COVID-19 Rehabilitation Program’ for patients suffering from long COVID symptoms, completely free of cost.
