INDIA – Redcliffe Labs has wrapped up the acquisition of Medicentre Sonography & Clinical Lab, an independent diagnostic lab chain across southern Rajasthan in India.
Udaipur-based Medicentre Sonography & Clinical Lab offers an integrated diagnostic test menu across pathology and radiology.
Led by Dr. Manish Seth and Dr. Mayanka Seth, it is one of the largest independent diagnostic labs in Rajasthan with 10 labs and an extensive network of 40 collection centers.
The acquisition of Medicentre Sonography & Clinical Lab will fuel Redcliffe Labs’ growth trajectory toward realizing its vision of becoming the largest integrated lab chain in Rajasthan.
In a press release, the company said: “Medicentre marks Redcliffe’s first significant acquisition as it expands its presence across India.”
This buyout deal adds to Redcliffe Labs’ existing diagnostic network, the company has 73 labs and over 1,500 authorized collection centres in more than 220 cities across India.
The news comes barely a month after Redcliffe Labs launched its BD MAX Multi-Drug Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB) Assay, performed on the BD MAX System, into the Indian market.
The diagnostic service provider has also expanded its operations in Punjab’s three major cities, namely Bhatinda, Ludhiana, and Jalandhar.
The company intends to retain and leverage the premium brand positioning and brand recall of Medicentre in the region and expand its operations in India.
“The valuation details of the transaction were not disclosed; however, the payout structure was a mix of cash and equity,” stated Redcliffe Labs.
On his part, Dheeraj Jain, Founder of Redcliffe Labs stated: “Medicentre sits perfectly with our vision and strategy of building a sustainable business in the Indian region.”
He emphasized that the company aims to offer a one-stop shop for diagnostic services with a very wide selection of tests and deliver care closer to its customers, especially for patients living in tier-2 to 4 cities in India

He underscored that Medicentre owners have built an amazing diagnostic business in the last 15 years, adding that it is one of the largest labs and brands in southern Rajasthan.
This move aligns with Redcliffe Labs’ mission to make health tests accessible to all Indians through a perfect fusion of technology and world-class state-of-the-art owned labs.
