Response Plus Holding Acting Chair Shamsheer Vayalil resigns

UAE – Healthcare service provider Response Plus Holding has recently made headlines with the resignation of Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil Parambath Pokkinari Hashim as Head of the Board of Directors.

According to a disclosure on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the Vice Chairman of the Board, Muhammad Munir Muhammad Yaqoob Hayat Khan, has been selected to take over Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil’s responsibilities until a new chairman gets elected.

The outgoing Acting Chair Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil Parambath Pokkinari Hashim will continue to serve as a board member of Response Plus Holding,” the filing confirmed.

Notably, Amanat Holdings has appointed Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil as its new Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The appointment comes as part of Amanat’s commitment to driving strategic leadership and innovation in the rapidly evolving healthcare and education sectors.

Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil will replace Hamad Abdulla Alshamsi as Chairman following a Board of Directors meeting on Thursday 28 December 2023.

It is important to note that Shamsheer Vayalil’s decision to step down comes as Dr. Rohil Raghavan takes the reins as Chief Executive Officer of Response Plus Holding.

The incoming CEO will work closely with global industry leaders in the regional healthcare sector to assert RPM’s positioning as a premier pre-hospital healthcare provider.

He will also support the company’s goal to go fully digital across all its subsidiaries in the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aligning with its organizational goals.

Response Plus Holding is one of the renowned providers of onsite healthcare, medical emergency services, and occupational health solutions based in the United Arab Emirates.

It is worth highlighting that the company reported a net profit of AED26.6 million (US$7.2 million) for the first six months of the year, up by nearly a third from a year earlier.

Response Plus Holding continues to deliver quality healthcare services to more than a million people in over 65 countries.

Since its inception in 2010, Response Plus Holding got listed on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange and the FTSE Global Equity Index Series (FTSE GEIS) as a global micro–cap company.

Amidst an extensive search for a new leader, Response Plus Holding has designated Muhammad Munir Muhammad Yaqoob Hayat Khan as an acting chair following the unprecedented resignation.
