USA—Risant Health, a nonprofit and charitable organization headquartered in Washington, D.C., has announced the appointment of Bryce Bach as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective mid-August 2024.

In his new role, Bach will report directly to Dr. Jaewon Ryu, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Risant Health.

Bach’s responsibilities will encompass the overall financial leadership of the organization, including managing finance operations, ensuring the financial performance of Risant Health and its subsidiaries, and conducting financial evaluations of new ventures and acquisitions.

His expertise will be crucial in steering the financial direction and stability of the organization.

Having served as the interim CFO for Risant Health, Bach has already played a pivotal role in the creation and launch of the organization over the past two years.

His interim leadership has been instrumental in establishing a solid financial foundation for Risant Health, demonstrating his capability and commitment to the organization’s mission.

Bach joins Risant Health from Oliver Wyman, a prestigious international management consulting firm.

At Oliver Wyman, he excelled in assisting clients across various sectors of the healthcare industry—including insurers, health systems, pharmaceutical companies, and technology firms—to enhance accessibility, quality, and affordability of healthcare services.

His extensive experience in finance, strategy, and major change programs positions him well for his new role at Risant Health.

Dr. Jaewon Ryu, CEO of Risant Health, expressed his confidence in Bach’s appointment, highlighting that Bryce’s broad expertise and proven leadership will be invaluable as they strive to advance Risant Health’s vision.

This vision includes expanding and accelerating the adoption of value-based care within diverse, multipayer, multiprovider, and community-based health systems, ultimately aiming to improve the health of millions across the nation.

Kathy Lancaster, Executive Vice President and CFO for Kaiser Permanente, also commented on the new appointment. She emphasized that Risant Health, as a vital affiliate of the Kaiser Permanente enterprise, shares their nonprofit mission.

Lancaster expressed her pleasure in welcoming Bryce Bach to the team, noting that his extensive financial management experience and healthcare expertise make him a talented addition to Risant Health.

With Bach’s appointment, Risant Health is poised to further its mission of enhancing healthcare delivery and outcomes through strategic financial leadership and innovative approaches.
