ROSHN Group, Zahra Association jointly launch breast cancer awareness campaign

SAUDI ARABIA – The ROSHN Group and the Zahra Breast Cancer Association have jointly launched the national breast cancer awareness campaign in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The ROSHN Group is one of the leading mixed-asset real estate developers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a giga-project wholly owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).

In a press statement, Ghada Alrumayan, Group Chief Marketing & Communication Officer of the ROSHN Group, said: “As we embark on our second year as a main partner of Zahra Association’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, we remain steadfast in our dedication to raising awareness, fostering early detection, and supporting those affected by this devastating disease.”

The Zahra Breast Cancer Association aims to not only implement a breast cancer awareness program but also activate the comprehensive survey program in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi association provides specialized services for patients and respirators, supports the scientific studies of breast cancer, and activates training programs to develop Saudi competencies.

The association was one of the first bodies in the country dedicated to raising awareness about the disease and providing support to patients and survivors.

By closely collaborating with the Zahra Breast Cancer Association, the ROSHN Group will activate breast cancer awareness and education booths across its offices and sales centers in Riyadh and Jeddah.

The trained personnel at the breast cancer awareness and education booths will communicate with the target participants on the importance of early detection in cancer care.

Under this collaboration, the ROSHN Group also will sponsor two non-competitive breast cancer awareness walks under the tagline ‘Making Strides Against Breast Cancer’ in two Saudi cities, namely Riyadh and Jeddah.

These walks have collectively grown into becoming the Kingdom’s largest and most impactful breast cancer movement.

The main objective is to provide a supportive community for courageous breast cancer survivors and metastatic breast cancer thrives, caregivers, and families alike.

Strikingly, the national breast cancer awareness campaign was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Emir of the Riyadh Region.

The launch ceremony was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Emir of the region, and Her Royal Highness Princess Haifa Al-Faisal, the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Zahra Breast Cancer Association.

Ghada Alrumayan, the Group Chief Marketing & Communication Officer of ROSHN, Nasreen Aldossary, the Group Chief Human Resources Officer of ROSHN, and Hanadi AlOutha the Chief Executive Officer of Zahra Breast Cancer Association were also in attendance.

Several members of the Association’s Board of Directors and a number of the leadership team of the ROSHN Group were also present at the ceremony.

On his part, ROSHN GCMO Ghada Alrumayan stated: “As a responsible Saudi Group, ROSHN will continue to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with causes and campaigns that empower Saudi individuals and families and make a meaningful and sustainable impact on the quality of life of all in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

It is worth highlighting that ROSHN’s collaboration with the Zahra Breast Cancer Association will be carried out through the group’s Corporate Social Responsibility arm, YUHYEEK.

Through its YUHYEEK initiative, the Group is implementing and supporting impactful projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

YUHYEEK leverages the group’s reach, scope, and capacity as a giga-project to directly benefit those in need across the Kingdom with measurable positive impact.

It backs impactful projects in specific key areas including promoting community development, environmental sustainability, health and wellness, arts and culture, sports as well as education.

For the second time in a row, the ROSHN Group has joined hands with the Zahra Breast Cancer Association as a main partner of the National Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.

The ROSHN Group will sponsor the closing ceremony of the breast cancer awareness campaign under the terms of the strategic partnership.

This contribution comes as part of the ROSHN Group’s CSR Program designed to support sustainable community initiatives throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Notably, the recommitment to the annual national campaign reflects the Group’s ongoing focus on health and wellness, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Arabia Vision 2030.

It will build on previous growth established in the previous version of the collaboration, which saw the ROSHN Group sponsoring and endorsing nationwide events and initiatives throughout October 2022.

During the closing ceremony, the Zahra Breast Cancer Association is expected to acknowledge and recognize the various partners that have contributed to the growth of the society over the last years.

The Zahra Breast Cancer Association has partnered with ethically aligned organizations such as Houston Methodist, LuLu Group International, Mastercard, and Uber, just to name a few.
