UAE — Response Plus Medical Services LLC (RPM), a subsidiary of Response Plus Holding PJSC and the leading provider of pre-hospital care and emergency medical services in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, has entered into a strategic partnership with SkyAngels Air Ambulance, a UK-based provider of emergency medical transport.

The two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deliver more efficient and effective medical air evacuation services across their operational markets.

RPM and SkyAngels will combine their resources to offer global air ambulance services through this collaboration.

SkyAngels will leverage its expansive fleet, which includes 135 light jets, 20 medium jets, 20 heavy jets, and 146 helicopters, to assist RPM in providing round-the-clock air evacuation services.

In addition, the partnership will ensure that RPM is equipped with specialized medical and personal security crews, offering comprehensive support for medical evacuations in both local and international markets.

Furthermore, as part of the MoU, SkyAngels will also extend its expertise to RPM by offering paramedic training at its facilities located at Norwich International Airport, with this training expected to enhance RPM’s ability to deliver top-notch emergency medical services.

On the other hand, RPM will serve as the preferred provider of air ambulance services for SkyAngels’ clients across the Middle East, offering in-country and global repatriation services tailored to patients’ needs.

In return, SkyAngels has designated RPM as its go-to partner for ground ambulance and paramedic support services in the Middle East, ensuring seamless cooperation between air and ground medical operations.

This partnership is designed to provide patients with access to 24/7 emergency air transfers, including flight stretchers, trained paramedic escorts, hospital coordination, and on-ground treatment facilitation upon arrival at their destination.

Speaking on the partnership, Dr. Rohil Raghavan, CEO of Response Plus Holding, expressed that RPM’s expansion into medical air evacuation is a natural step for the company, considering its leadership in pre-hospital and emergency medical services.

He emphasised that the collaboration with SkyAngels, a proven leader in the field, will allow RPM to deliver the most efficient, time-sensitive medical air evacuation services to its clients.

David Polo Marks, CEO of SkyAngels, added that SkyAngels has grown into a preferred medical evacuation partner across Europe and India.

With this MoU, they aim to expand their presence in the Middle East, providing evacuation services to clients worldwide, including corporations that rely on SkyAngels for travel risk management, crisis response, and duty of care compliance.

According to Marks, this partnership with RPM strengthens its foothold in the Middle East and enhances its ability to provide timely and effective medical evacuation solutions globally.

In addition to this partnership, RPM acquired Prometheus Medical, a UK-based medical services provider, in April, marking a significant milestone in RPM’s international growth strategy.

With Prometheus Medical now part of its portfolio, RPM is strategically positioned to expand its service offerings and geographic reach, particularly in the UK and Nordic markets.

Prometheus’ expertise in combat medical training, consultancy, and pre-hospital solutions aligns perfectly with RPM’s mission to broaden its global footprint.

Following the acquisition, RPM’s operations in the UK and Nordic regions were branded as Prometheus Medical International, while its UAE operations will continue under the Prometheus UAE banner.

RPM’s air evacuation unit is well-regarded for delivering top-tier aeromedical transportation services, providing a complete “bed-to-bed” solution that is backed by a world-class fleet and a highly trained medical team.

Their services encompass both domestic and international aeromedical retrieval and repatriation, carried out in partnership with leading aviation providers.

The RPM Air Ambulance fleet operates around the clock and is equipped with the latest medical technology, including advanced stretcher systems with built-in oxygen, suction, and electrical power to treat critical care patients.

In addition, RPM offers VIP air ambulance services via ICU-equipped Challenger Aircraft and Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) for both primary emergency response and critical patient transfers.
