UAE—Salik Company PJSC (Salik), Dubai’s sole toll gate operator, has donated 200,000 AED (US$54,452.37) to the Al Jalila Foundation, a vital partner in Dubai Health’s philanthropic giving program.

This donation is intended to support young cancer sufferers as part of the Foundation’s efforts during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, demonstrating Salik’s continued dedication to community welfare, particularly in the advancement of children’s healthcare.

The donation will benefit children at Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, the UAE’s first specialised paediatric hospital.

During a recent visit, a plaque honouring Salik’s contributions was unveiled. The plaque will be exhibited on The Giving Wall, which is a monument to contributors who have helped the hospital’s mission.

A Salik team led by CEO Ibrahim Haddad visited the hospital to interact with young patients, marking an important milestone in the company’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts.

Dr Abdullah Al Khayat, CEO of Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, and Dr. Mohammed Al Awadhi, Deputy CEO of Al Jalila Children’s and Latifa Hospital, both greeted the delegation.

When asked about the donation, Ibrahim Haddad emphasised that Salik’s commitment to community well-being is deeply engrained in the company’s core values.

He stated that their CSR initiatives are more than a corporate requirement; they are a strategic investment in the future.

Haddad stated that by supporting this important cause, Salik hopes to make a long-term good influence on the lives of young patients and guarantee they receive the best care they deserve.

He went on to say that this investment deepens the company’s commitment to future generations’ health and well-being, laying the groundwork for a brighter, healthier tomorrow.

Dr. Amer Al Zarooni, CEO of Al Jalila Foundation, thanked Salik for their significant contribution, which will help address the difficulties of children cancer.

He emphasised that such significant donations greatly improve the Foundation’s ability to deliver comprehensive and cutting-edge medical care to young cancer patients.

Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, a cutting-edge paediatric facility, is at the forefront of regional tertiary and quaternary treatment.

Its cutting-edge technology and unique design are intended to improve patient outcomes and deliver world-class treatment.

Salik’s project helps the hospital provide high-quality medical care and increases awareness about children cancer.

The company’s actions serve as an important call for organisations and individuals to work together to combat this dreadful disease.
