INDIA – Sarvodaya Healthcare has successfully installed a brand-new Echelon Smart 1.5 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine from Fujifilm at its hospital in Greater Noida West in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Fujifilm India successfully supplied and installed the new Echelon Smart 1.5 Tesla MRI machine in Sarvodaya Hospital, Greater Noida West at a cost of approximately Rs 7 crores (US$496,001.24).
In an official note, Mr. Chander Shekhar Sibal, Vice President & Head of the Healthcare Division at Fujifilm India, said: “This remarkable milestone represents a significant leap forward in medical imaging technology, as it will empower healthcare professionals in their diagnostic journey, by enhancing diagnostic precision, streamlining workflows, and improving overall patient experience.”
The high-tech MRI machine by Fujifilm India incorporates patient-friendly acoustic noise reduction, operator-friendly operation support, and environment-friendly low power consumption.
Additionally, radiologists and doctors were apprised of the product’s features and capabilities with a live demonstration of the machine’s operation, including a detailed briefing on usage and safety.
This successful installation is a clear reflection of Fujifilm’s dedication to making technologically advanced healthcare accessible to all at affordable expenditure.
It comes as Fujifilm India, the Indian arm of Japan-headquartered company Fujifilm, expands its operations and product base in the country.
Commenting on cost efficiency, Mr. Chander Shekhar Sibal stated: “Echelon Smart 1.5 Tesla is certainly an MRI machine that will transform the Indian diagnostic sector and aid quality medical imaging outcomes.”
Specialists at Sarvodaya Hospital, Greater Noida West will leverage the capabilities of Fujifilm’s Echelon Smart 1.5 Tesla MRI machine to make accurate diagnoses and deliver the right treatment decisions for their patients.
The device is a 1.5T Superconductive MRI system with the high image quality of the high magnetic field achieved by Fujifilm technology and with a flexible site layout inherited from a permanent magnet MRI system.
Sarvodaya Hospital has expanded its cutting-edge technical modalities to include FUJIFILM SUPRIA 128 SLICE CT System, FUJIFILM FDR SMART FGX-52S Digital Radiography System, FUJIFILM ARIETTA 65 Ultrasound System, and now FUJIFILM Echelon Smart 1.5T MRI System.
In his address, Mr. Divyanu Gupta, Director of Sarvodaya Hospital, Greater Noida West said: “As a hospital, we must integrate evolving technologies into our system so that patients receive healthcare services of global standards.”

Fujifilm’s Echelon Smart 1.5T MRI machine also applies to SE, FSE, FIR, GRE, and DWI sequences for advanced imaging applications.
Fujifilm’s Echelon Smart 1.5T MRI machine features new technologies, such as SmartECO, SmartSPACE, SmartCOMFORT, SmartSPEED, and SmartQUALITY.
SmartECO reduces heat generation and provides economical running costs, SmartSPACE has a small footprint and flexible layout, while SmartCOMFORT features soft sound technology.
Additionally, SmartCOMFORT provides a 94% reduction in noise and offers quiet scanning without any compromise with image resolution.
SmartSPEED utilizes specific wavelengths of light to help the specialist to take an accurate autopsy and detailed examination of the brain and spine under a quick scan plan.
Moreover, the high-tech MRI machine by Fujifilm India features an advanced Whole-body diffusion IsoFSE – Single volume acquisition tool alongside RADAR- Versatile motion artefact Reduction tool.
This advanced Whole-body imaging tool is designed to generate isotropic images in all planes thus ensuring specialists can detect any lesions at the corner of the images.
