SasaPay strikes accord with MedSource Group to ease payment of pharmaceuticals

KENYA – Digital payment platform, SasaPay, has signed a partnership agreement with Kenyan retail and wholesale pharmaceutical chain, MediSource Group, that will see the company simplify and digitize its payment system for its suppliers and customers.

The pioneering medical group purchasing organization will now connect its pharmacies to SasaPay’s payments platform and accelerate their growth in the country.

The MedSource Group serves up to 5 million patients annually through the over 770 subscriber community pharmacies and private healthcare enterprises countrywide.

Moreover, beginning this August, the two partner organizations have begun a phased roll-out with SasaPay enlisting MedSource as a premium healthcare provider on their platform SasaPay App.

As they impact patients’ lives, these private healthcare enterprises will leverage the SasaPay mobile money platform for a suite of financial inclusion services and will enable MedSource to unlock business opportunities through multiple seamless financial solutions in a democratized digital marketplace.

SasaPay deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer Daniel Njoroge said, “This payments technology is specifically designed for the healthcare industry to simplify processes and reduce costs for hospitals, pharmacies, health systems providers, clinics, consultants, and other players in the sector by accelerating their revenue cycle, boost customer satisfaction and collect more,”

The COO insisted that it will help healthcare service providers under the MedSource umbrella to improve payment collection and consequently empower them to take control of their healthcare finances.

“Moreso by simplify billing processes with contactless, digital healthcare payment solutions that integrate into their existing workflows,” SasaPay deputy CEO Daniel Njoroge.

On his part, MedSource Group CEO, Vinod Gupta reiterated that the group’s goal was to strengthen the capacity of its affiliates and members to improve the management of their businesses and thereby offer more value to Kenyans seeking medical services countrywide.

Gupta noted that MedSource aggregates healthcare business demands downstream and matches them with the upstream pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors.
