SAUDI ARABIA – The Quality of Life Program’s Center (QPL), one of the Saudi Vision 2030 Realization Programs, has entered into a cooperation agreement with Health Gates to support addiction recovery and treatment efforts across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Health Gates is a Saudi firm that specializes in building and managing health facilities and addiction recovery and rehabilitation.
The firm serves an array of business models, including primary care, specialty care, urgent care, and home care.
As part of the new cooperation agreement, the Quality of Life Program’s Center will work closely with Health Gates to safeguard society from illicit drugs.
The joint statement said: “The agreement entails organizing media campaigns to boost public awareness of the risks of illicit drugs and the importance of hobbies in the recovery and rehabilitation phase of the addicts and including them in the treatment plans.”
This collaboration comes as part of QPL’s ambitious plan to prepare the required environment to improve the quality of life of individuals and families living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia’s Council of Economic and Development Affairs launched the Quality of Life Program in 2020, with a total expenditure of US$34.6 billion (130 billion Saudi riyals).
QLP aims to enhance the overall quality of life by creating jobs, diversifying economic activities, and advancing the position of Saudi cities in global indexes.
The overarching goal of the Quality of Life Program is to include at least three Saudi cities in the list of the top 100 cities in the world to live in by 2030.
While the overall aspiration refers to three cities in the Kingdom, this Program pursues the improvement of the lifestyle of citizens and residents throughout Saudi Arabia in general.
The Quality of Life Program’s Center is looking to help recovering addicts restore normalcy and practice their hobbies, aligning with its mission to support local quality-of-life projects.
Through the agreement with Health Gates, the Quality of Life Program’s Center comes closer to achieving its goal of enhancing the status of Saudi cities in the ranking of the best cities in the world.
The agreement builds on their shared mission of enhancing and enriching the lives of people living in the region the two parties serve.
To this end, the framework agreement was signed by Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Bakr, the Chief Executive Officer of the Quality of Life Program’s Center, and Dr. Abdullah Albuthi, the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Health Gates.
