Saudi German Hospital Riyadh earns coveted magnet designation for nursing excellence

SAUDI ARABIA—Saudi German Hospital Riyadh has achieved a significant milestone by earning the prestigious Magnet Designation, becoming the first private hospital in the Riyadh region to receive this honor.

This recognition, granted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), is considered the gold standard for nursing excellence worldwide.

The Magnet Recognition Program highlights healthcare organizations that demonstrate exceptional patient care, nursing leadership, and innovative practices in professional nursing.

Makarem Sobhi Batterjee, Vice Chairman of Saudi German Health, emphasized that this achievement aligns with Saudi Vision 2030’s healthcare transformation goals.

He noted that receiving this esteemed credential underscores Saudi German Health’s commitment to advancing healthcare services in the region and beyond.

Batterjee expressed pride in being recognized internationally as leaders in quality patient care and reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to enhancing health services.

Adding to this sentiment, Dr. Ahmed Shebl, Group CEO of Saudi German Health, stated that Magnet recognition strengthens Saudi German Hospital Riyadh’s commitment to delivering top-tier patient care and achieving superior clinical outcomes.

He highlighted that this accomplishment reflects not only the hospital’s dedication but also the collective pride of the entire Saudi German Health family and the community it serves.

Ms. Iman Kouwatly, Group Chief Nursing Officer, praised the leadership of Dr. Eslam El Adwy, Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Samer Al Halabi, Chief Nursing Officer, for guiding the team toward this milestone.

Kouwatly also noted that only about 9% of hospitals globally have earned Magnet Status, placing Saudi German Hospital Riyadh among an elite group.
