Saudi ministry and Fakeeh Care Group launch a new health initiative

SAUDI ARABIA – The Ministry of Labor and Social Development, in collaboration with the Fakeeh Care Group, has unveiled a new initiative aimed at providing healthcare to a portion of Social Security members.

In a related news story, Fakeeh Care, a private hospital group based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is reportedly planning to sell at least 30 percent of its stake in the family-owned business.

The Fakeeh Care Group is more than just a hospital group; it also acts as an academic hospital with undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

In a press statement, the Ministry of Labor and Social Development said: “The Fakeeh-Daman Program is a testament to the ministry’s commitment to providing healthcare to citizens and residents in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

The Saudi government ministry announced that the new program aims to provide healthcare to a portion of Social Security members by offering comprehensive health services at Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital.

The launch of the Fakeeh-Daman Program comes as part of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development’s initiatives to address the needs of different segments of society, especially the groups in most need.

Remarkably, the ceremony was attended by Engineer Sultan Al-Jaris, the Deputy Minister in charge of Social Security, and Professor Ayman Abdo, the Executive Director of Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital, Riyadh Branch.

In his address, Engineer Sultan Al-Jaris, the Deputy Minister in charge of Social Security, stated: “The Fakeeh-Daman program represents a crucial step in strengthening the partnership between the government and private sectors.”

Engineer Sultan Al-Jaris emphasized that the Fakeeh-Daman program will play a crucial role in supporting the ministry’s efforts to provide healthcare for citizens and residents,

He further mentioned that the launch of the new initiative underpins the Ministry’s commitment to achieving its strategic goals, including social protection and improving the quality of life.

In his speech, Dr. Mazen Fakeeh, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fakeeh Care Group, described the Fakeeh-Daman Program as a model for the partnership between the government and private sectors.

Dr. Mazen Fakeeh conveyed his strong conviction that the initiative will play a crucial role in strengthening the state’s endeavours to offer healthcare services to its populace.

It is a direct reflection of the commitment of the Fakeeh Care Group’s collection of businesses to provide secondary and tertiary healthcare services for communities in the wider Middle East region.

Notably, the landmark agreement was signed by Eng. Sultan Al-Jaris and Professor Ayman Abdo, with representatives from the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital, and Bupa Insurance Company in attendance.

It is worth highlighting that the signing ceremony of the Fakeeh-Daman Program took place under the generous patronage of the Minister of Labor and Social Development, His Excellency Eng. Ahmad bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi.

The agreement was signed by Eng. Sultan Al-Jaris and Professor Ayman Abdo, with representatives from the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital, and Bupa Insurance Company in attendance.

For his part, Professor Ayman Abdo, the Executive Director of Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital, Riyadh Branch, restated the hospital’s dedication to providing the best health services to citizens and residents based on their needs and desires.

Commenting on the Fakeeh-Daman Program’s potential, Professor Ayman Abdo said: “The program will contribute to providing comprehensive healthcare to its beneficiaries and elevate their health and well-being.”
