INDIA – Solis Health has opened its first cancer support centre in India to empower patients and caregivers with the right information to navigate the world of care.

The development follows Solis Health’s partnership with Maggie’s Centres, a UK-based organisation recognised as the global leader in the cancer support space.

As their exclusive knowledge partner for India, Solis Health will leverage Maggie’s expertise to bring evidence-based cancer support services to India for the very first time.

The partnership aligns with Solis Health’s mission to design and deliver comprehensive, impactful, and person-centric healthcare solutions in India and beyond.

Commenting on the India debut, Bhairavi Madhusudhan Shibulal, Founder and Director of Solis Health said: “We are pleased to open our first Cancer Support Centre in Bengaluru and proud to be a part of Maggie’s international network.”

She observed that chronic illnesses like cancer are incredibly expensive to treat, and the costs associated with care often change the financial position of most families.

We welcome people with cancer, their family and friends, at any point in the cancer experience: diagnosis, treatment, post-treatment, recurrence, end of life, and bereavement. Our services are available to all members over the age of 18,” Shibulal stated.

The all-new cancer support centre in India will provide comprehensive cancer information and support based on three key components: emotional support, social support, and practical support.

The Solis Health Cancer Support Centre, located near MG Road in Bengaluru, will provide individual counselling and facilitate support groups to help patients and caregivers cope with stress as they navigate their cancer journey.

Patients, caregivers, and families will be able to access the community library and lounge situated at the Solis Health Cancer Support Centre where they can engage in interactive workshops.

In addition to social support, the center focuses on practical support which involves diet and nutrition counselling, yoga and wellness programs, as well as financial counselling.

Moreover, Solis Health has launched its comprehensive offering christened OncoLife, to allow patients and families access to the best clinical advice and care.

OncoLife by Solis Health will enable people affected by cancer to have virtual consultations with expert doctors at trusted global Centres of Excellence, at their comfort and convenience.

Its members will have direct access to the right information and support ensuring they can be active participants in their care plan.

They will also access second opinions and virtual consultations from expert clinicians in India and overseas via the digital platform.

In addition, OncoLife by Solis Health aims to democratize access to cancer care and treatment by ensuring it is more affordable.

Members of the Solis OncoLife plan can access preferential rates for their treatment at over 7600 hospitals across 3000 cities and towns in India, which results in large savings on their out-of-pocket expenses,” Shibulal added.

At the same time, the Solis Health Knowledge Portal will enable patients to access information about cancer and its causes, specific information about various cancer types along with the prevention, screening, diagnosis, and treatment protocols for each.
