UAE – Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved the Jawaher Boston Medical District Project in the United Arab Emirates.
This project is led by BEEAH Group, Mass General Brigham, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, to create a healthcare ecosystem of the future.
Health systems of the future will need to reach beyond hospital walls to provide the care patients deserve.
This paves the way for a unique opportunity to offer truly integrated care focused on wellness, treating disease, and helping patients live healthier lives.
The joint statement: “Fuelled by a spirit of innovation, caring, and building a people-centric system, BEEAH and its Boston-based partners will leverage their combined sustainability and medical expertise to better care for patients and families.”
As part of its plans for a future-ready ecosystem, BEEAH, Mass General Brigham and Dana-Farber will develop the Jawaher Boston Medical District in Sharjah to provide cutting-edge healthcare.
The upcoming medical district in the Emirate of Sharjah marks the diversification of BEEAH Group into the healthcare industry.
This news comes as the BEEAH Group adopted a diversified holding structure with distinct business verticals in industries that are critical to shaping a sustainable future.
The multi-institution partnership aligns with BEEAH’s goal to integrate care solutions into homes, schools, workplaces, and communities, and extend care beyond the walls of a hospital.
The final project approval comes after Sultan Al Qasimi, a member of the Federal Supreme Council of the UAE, met and had advanced talks with a delegation from the participating medical institutions.
The Jawaher Boston Medical District Project will leverage the collective expertise of the landmark global partnership to revolutionize healthcare delivery in the Emirate and set a new regional benchmark.
“The partnership will leverage BEEAH Group’s expertise in pioneering quality of life solutions in Sharjah and the Middle East, Mass General Brigham’s deep specialty expertise, and Dana-Farber’s ground-breaking innovations in cancer treatment,” the companies claimed.
The upcoming project is anticipated to create new opportunities to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare across specialties and improve the quality of life for the population of Sharjah.
These specialties include lifestyle medicine and prevention, oncology, women’s health, pediatrics, cardiovascular, neurosciences, behavioral health, and rehabilitation medicine.
Commenting on the project, Khaled Al Huraimel, Group Chief Executive Officer of BEEAH Group, said: “BEEAH Group has always been about pioneering a sustainable quality of life for all.”
He outlined that the medical district is expected to bring world-class healthcare, wellness, and academic programs in one location as well as create research and development opportunities.
“Through an innovative patient-centric healthcare network and local workforce development, we will build on the existing foundation in Sharjah,” stated Al Huraimel.
He highlighted the partnership with Mass General Brigham and Dana-Farber as a milestone moment for the growth of the diversified holding group.
“While solidifying our commitment to pioneer a sustainable quality of life for the people of Sharjah and beyond, BEEAH is excited to start a new journey in healthcare and contribute to the national vision of a diversified economy and a healthy, cohesive society,” said Al Huraimel.
