KENYA – The second annual Transforming African MedTech Conference (TAMC) is set to take place from August 28th to 30th, 2024, in Nairobi, Kenya.

Building on the success of the inaugural event, TAMC 2024 promises to be a cornerstone in the advancement of medical technology across the African continent.

TAMC 2024 is designed to provide a unique platform where industry leaders, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and innovators converge to explore and shape the future of healthcare through cutting-edge medical technologies.

This year’s conference aims to address the most pressing challenges in the MedTech sector while highlighting groundbreaking innovations and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. Discussions will include:

  • Pathways to Increase Capital: Addressing the infrastructure needs of local MedTech and diagnostic startups, as well as MedTech and diagnostic contract manufacturing for international organizations.
  • Market Shaping Avenues: Exploring both supply and demand-side strategies, including pooled procurement, market protection, and consolidation of markets.
  • Regulatory Environment: Discussing the structuring, technical capacity, and harmonization of regulatory frameworks, and ensuring local startups have a voice in these conversations.

The Transforming African MedTech Conference was successfully launched in 2023, bringing together 120 MedTech delegates from 14 countries.
