The second edition of the Roche Personalized Care Forum scheduled for December 1

EGYPT – The second edition of the Roche Forum for Personalized Care in the Middle East is scheduled to take place on Friday, December 1, 2023.

In a news release, Roche announced: “The premier event presents an ideal platform for presenting advanced solutions developed in collaboration with partners from across the Middle East region in the field of personalized healthcare.”

Renowned experts are expected to come together under a shared goal of shedding light on Roche’s vision for personalized healthcare and its impact on patient outcomes and societal costs.

The two-day event will bring together participants from different regions, including Germany, Spain, and England, alongside Arab countries like Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

This year’s edition will focus on personalized healthcare and precision medicine in various topics in the medical field, including oncology, real-world data (RWD), and digital pathology.

This aligns with the company’s longstanding commitment to enhancing the healthcare system in different parts of the world,” stated Roche.

The company further stated that the opening ceremony of the second edition of the Roche Forum for Personalized Care in the Middle East will be graced by influential figures, senior executives, and decision-makers in the health sector.

The opening session will feature keynote speeches from Dr. Mohamed Swilam, the General Manager of Roche Pharmaceuticals, and Dr. Liliane Kanaan, the General Manager of Roche Diagnostics in Egypt.

Notably, Dr. Hamdy Abdel Azim, Professor of Clinical Oncology at Cairo University, and Dr. Hesham El-Ghazali, Head of the Presidential Initiative of Women’s Health and Professor of Clinical Oncology at Ain Shams University, will be in attendance.

The opening ceremony will also be attended by Dr. Alexander Meszaros, Roche’s Global Chief Diagnostic Strategy Executive from Switzerland.

In addition, the ceremony will be attended by Dr. Mehlika Hazar Rethinam and Dr. Eliane Cortez, renowned clinical genomics scientists, and foundation medicine experts from the United States and Australia.

As one of the leading global companies, Roche’s focus spans a spectrum of domains such as ophthalmology, and central nervous system disorders, as well as the advancement and formulation of diagnostic solutions.

Roche seeks to shift decisions in healthcare from emotion to facts, making data and insights accessible to all and building a broad coalition for change.

Commenting on its dedicated event for the Middle East region, Roche said: “The 2022 edition of the forum brought together key stakeholders in the healthcare industry to share the latest research and build a robust and sustainable healthcare system.”

Roche disclosed that the first edition of the forum successfully registered the attendance of over 400 healthcare professionals, mainly medical laboratories and senior lab leaders from the region.

Following the success of the first edition held in the United Arab Emirates, Roche is gearing up to host the upcoming event in Egypt’s new administrative capital.
