UAE – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the United Arab Emirates has formally announced the planned construction of a new UAE-Indonesia Hospital for Cardiac Diseases building in Central Java, developed in partnership with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia.

Moreover, the UAE, represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, signed a cooperation agreement with the Republic of Indonesia’s Ministry of Health to facilitate the construction of the 100-bed cardiology hospital in Central Java.

The cooperation agreement was signed by His Excellency Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, the Minister of State to the United Arab Emirates Cabinet, and Budi Gunadi Sadikin, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia.

The signing ceremony between the UAE’s Minister of State His Excellency Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh and Indonesian Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin was witnessed by His Excellency Husin Bagis, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Arab Emirates.

In a media release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, HE Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh said: “The agreement is in line with the UAE’s leadership vision for strengthening bilateral ties between the UAE and Indonesia.”

The agreement aims to enhance the health sector in the Republic of Indonesia by establishing the 100-bed capacity UAE-Indonesia Hospital for Cardiac Diseases with funding from the government of the UAE.

Under the terms of this agreement, the new state-of-the-art UAE-Indonesia Hospital for Cardiac Diseases will be located in Solo Techno Park in Surakarta, Central Java, the Republic of Indonesia.

The government of the United Arab Emirates will provide the necessary grants to facilitate the construction of the UAE-Indonesia Hospital for Cardiac Diseases, to be located in the historic royal capital on the Indonesian island of Java.

Through its embassies and diplomatic missions around the globe, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs serves as the link between the wise leadership and people of the UAE and the rest of the world.

MOFA, strengthening friendship and closer ties with other nations, is working hard to safeguard the interests of Emiratis and promote economic and cultural development and peace in the world.

In his address, Budi Gunadi Sadikin expressed his gratitude to the UAE government and its people for the great contributions to Indonesia on behalf of the Indonesian government and its people.

The support from the UAE government to help build the UAE-Indonesia Hospital for Cardiac Diseases in Surakarta is highly appreciated. This cooperation will accelerate the implementation of healthcare and cardiological services in all of our cities,” underscored Gunadi Sadikin.

The cardiology hospital could serve an important role in reinforcing bilateral ties between the UAE and Indonesia through joint efforts in various fields, to support sustainable development goals, particularly in the health sector.

Residents of Surakarta and the surrounding areas are set to reap benefits from the UAE-Indonesia Hospital for Cardiac Diseases as the Indonesian government further strengthens ties with the United Arab Emirates.

Underlining the significance of the UAE’s ties with Indonesia, Ambassador Husin Bagis said: “I hope the construction of the facility runs smoothly and on target, as it will benefit Indonesians, especially those in Surakarta and the surrounding areas, providing them with easier access to medical services.”
