Oman’s Sultan Haitham City to host Gulf Region’s first hospital with collaborative physician ownership model

This project marks the first hospital of its kind in the Gulf region, blending medical excellence with advanced urban planning.

OMAN — Al Siyabi International Group has started construction on a groundbreaking healthcare facility in Sultan Haitham City, reflecting Oman’s Vision 2040 commitment to digital innovation and responsible development.

This project marks the first hospital of its kind in the Gulf region, blending medical excellence with advanced urban planning.

Located in Al Wafaa District, the first neighborhood established in Sultan Haitham City, the hospital benefits from a strategic position close to major roads, ensuring easy access for patients and visitors.

The group conducted a thorough feasibility study with international experts to address the increasing need for high-quality medical services within Oman.

The hospital’s foundation rests on a unique partnership model that brings together the medical and urban development sectors, as well as physicians and investors.

With a budget of approximately USD 78 million (RO 30 million), the project features cutting-edge construction techniques and state-of-the-art medical equipment.

This initiative sets a new benchmark for healthcare infrastructure not only in Oman but throughout the wider Gulf region.

Designed around the concept of collaborative administration and shared ownership, the hospital empowers physicians by allowing them to own private clinics within the facility.

The building houses 130 clinics and 160 patient beds, all designed to meet rigorous global health standards.

Each clinic owner gains membership in the hospital’s general assembly, enabling doctors to participate actively in strategic decisions and fostering lasting partnerships between medical professionals and the institution.

Beyond its innovative investment approach, the hospital focuses on patient well-being at every level.

The interior embraces a “healing through nature” philosophy that goes beyond incorporating landscaped gardens and an artificial lake.

Every patient bed faces a natural view, and advanced sound insulation creates a quiet, peaceful environment.

Additionally, meals offer a blend of Omani and international cuisine designed to provide both physical nourishment and psychological comfort.

Shaikh Salim bin Ali al Siyabi, Chairman of Al Siyabi International Group, explained the hospital’s vision: “Hospitals have traditionally been associated with fear and anxiety. Our goal is to transform them into places of reassurance and hope.”

“Every detail of this hospital prioritizes psychological comfort, privacy, and high-quality service to create a holistic healing experience.”

This pioneering project represents a significant step forward as Oman builds its future health landscape, combining innovation with care in a modern setting designed to meet the needs of both patients and medical professionals.
