The partnership enables Africa CDC to reinforce its central role in advancing continental priorities, including its 2023–2027 Strategic Plan and the Africa Health Security and Sovereignty (AHSS) agenda.

The study analysed more than 187,000 laboratory test results from 205 laboratories located in 14 African countries, including Nigeria, using samples collected between 2016 and 2019.

The event will take place on December 3 at the Accra International Conference Centre, immediately following the opening ceremony of the International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA 2025).
