Aster Clinics UAE to expand network to more than 100 facilities by 2030

UAE — Aster Clinics UAE, the largest private primary care network under Aster DM Healthcare’s GCC group, plans to expand its network from 85 to more than 100 facilities across the UAE by 2030, supported by an investment commitment of AED 100 million (US$27.2 million).

The expansion will combine new clinics with the enlargement of existing facilities and is expected to increase Aster Clinics’ workforce to 4,100 employees across the UAE.

The new and expanded facilities will add specialty centres, enhance in-clinic diagnostic services, and integrate digital and smart healthcare solutions through myAster.

The network will also expand homecare and personalised care services.

The growth follows a 15% increase in annual patient visits across Aster Clinics over the past year, reflecting rising demand for accessible primary healthcare services.

Strengthening clinical services

Alongside expanding its geographical footprint, Aster Clinics is strengthening its clinical capabilities through specialty-led models.

The network plans to scale diabetes care using a “clinic within a clinic” approach, enabling patients to access integrated and convenient services for chronic disease management.

Aster Clinics is also expanding its orthopaedic and physiotherapy services to provide comprehensive care for bone and joint conditions.

These initiatives form part of the organisation’s broader strategy to deliver integrated, community-based healthcare across the UAE.

Outpatient services account for more than 70% of healthcare interactions in the UAE, highlighting the importance of primary care networks as the first point of contact for patients.

Aster’s extensive clinic network is therefore positioned to meet growing demand for accessible healthcare closer to where people live and work.

Aster Clinics UAE currently operates 85 clinics across the Emirates, supported by 13 Access Clinics.

The group also operates two clinics in Bahrain, while its wider GCC network comprises more than 100 clinics.

Expanding specialised and personalised care

Alisha Moopen, Managing Director and Group CEO of Aster DM Healthcare, said the UAE remains a cornerstone of the group’s long-term strategy, supported by the country’s healthcare ecosystem and vision for integrated care delivery.

She added that Aster’s growth strategy focuses on building a sustainable healthcare model that combines clinical excellence, digital innovation, and community-based services.

Recent developments include the launch of Aster Clinic Jaddaf, which has expanded access to healthcare in a growing residential area.

Specialised facilities, including the Aster Diabetes 360 Care Clinic and Aster Children’s Clinic in Dubai Silicon Oasis, further support the group’s focus on chronic disease management, family healthcare, and personalised services.

The group is also expanding the Aster Orthopaedic Clinic in Qusais and strengthening women’s health services at Aster Clinic Gardens, supported by enhanced radiology capabilities.

Digital and home-based healthcare

Dr Sherbaz Bichu, CEO of Aster Hospitals & Clinics (UAE, Bahrain & Oman), said the expansion reflects the organisation’s commitment to making quality healthcare more accessible and affordable.

Aster is also aligning its growth with the UAE’s increasing focus on preventive and digitally enabled healthcare.

Its myAster platform supports teleconsultations and continuity of care, while Aster @Home provides consultations, diagnostics, and nursing services at patients’ homes, hotels, or offices.

The group is expanding its wellness portfolio with services such as intravenous therapies and plans to introduce peptide-based treatments as part of its focus on preventive and personalised care.

 Programmes including Care for Her, a women’s health and wellness initiative, and Age Well with Aster, a senior care programme, also address growing demand for specialised services.

Further network expansion

Aster Clinics UAE plans to continue investing in capacity expansion, express clinics in high-density locations, and Neubridge Diagnostics to strengthen diagnostic services across its healthcare ecosystem.

The network will prioritise densely populated residential corridors and emerging communities, responding to population growth and increasing demand for neighbourhood-based healthcare accessible within 10 to 15 minutes.
