Newsweek compiled the rankings in collaboration with Statista to recognise hospitals adopting digital technologies in healthcare delivery.

The collaboration will focus on connecting business functions, improving access to information and using emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), to support faster decision-making across the Group.

Under Vision 2030, the Kingdom is working to move from fragmented healthcare services towards an integrated system in which patients receive coordinated, high-quality care throughout their treatment journey.

Under the new structure, the corporate identity will connect these operations without requiring individual facilities to abandon their existing brands.

The announcement was made at the Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit (RGMBS), building on a collaboration established after Saudi Arabia’s first gene therapy infusion in 2024.

The move builds on the two organisations’ existing relationship and forms part of the hospital’s efforts to use digital technologies to improve patient care and clinical efficiency.

The achievement also makes JHAH the only hospital system outside the United States to secure the distinction through a single, unified appraisal covering multiple hospitals and sites.

Through its collaboration with Thmanyah, Bupa Arabia aims to make discussions about health and wellbeing more relevant to people’s everyday lives.

Unlike conventional plans that may require insurers to approve certain outpatient services before beneficiaries receive care, the new option will remove the pre-approval requirement for eligible outpatient services.
