Through its partnership with JOOTRH, CHAMPS works directly with clinicians in the Paediatrics and Maternity Units to advance research that improves outcomes for mothers and newborns.

The new comprehensive center will change this reality by providing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgical oncology services under one roof.

The installation centres on a massive 20,000-litre cryogenic liquid oxygen tank, representing a substantial upgrade over conventional oxygen generation methods.

The facility now offers Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS), a cutting-edge procedure that provides patients with a less painful alternative to conventional chest operations.

The new CELSI Warmers will play a vital role in keeping babies warm from the moment they enter the unit, with hospital officials setting an ambitious target of reducing hypothermia rates to below 10 percent.

The partnership builds on a Memorandum of Collaboration signed last year under the Global Oncology Initiative, which set the foundation for comprehensive cancer management improvements at the regional referral facility.
