EGYPT—The Egyptian-Emirati mobile hospital for interventional cardiac procedures has arrived in Cairo, marking a groundbreaking initiative that aims to revolutionize cardiac care outcomes across Egypt.
This collaborative effort between the two nations seeks to improve access to advanced healthcare solutions while strengthening the medical cooperation that binds Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.
Medical authorities have equipped the mobile facility with state-of-the-art field units designed specifically for diagnosis, treatment, and surgical procedures.
The hospital will deliver innovative cardiac services to communities located far from major urban centers, ensuring that even remote populations can benefit from cutting-edge medical technologies and artificial intelligence applications.
This approach addresses a critical gap in healthcare delivery, particularly for patients who previously faced significant barriers in accessing specialized cardiac care.
The initiative represents a joint effort involving Egypt’s Ministry of Health, Emirati physicians, Dar Al Ber Society, and Sharjah Charity International.
A dedicated team of Egyptian-Emirati interventional cardiac surgeons oversees the entire operation, bringing together expertise from both nations to create a model of excellence in cardiovascular medicine.
Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, emphasized that the program demonstrates the strong bilateral relations between Egypt and the UAE.
He explained that the initiative aims to establish new standards for cardiac care throughout the region while embodying shared goals of enhancing medical innovation and delivering world-class healthcare services to all citizens regardless of their geographic location.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, outlined the program’s core focus areas.
The initiative prioritizes early diagnosis of cardiac conditions, implements advanced treatment methodologies, and invests in building the capacities of medical professionals.
He highlighted that the program leverages technologies provided by General Electric, combined with the philanthropic efforts of Dar Al Ber Society and Sharjah Charity International, to effectively address the increasing burden of cardiovascular diseases affecting populations in both countries.
Dr. Adel Al Shamry Al Ajmi, CEO of the Zayed Giving Initiative and Director-General of the National Training (Jaheziya) Programme, described the hospital’s launch as a reflection of the profound health cooperation between Egypt and the UAE.
He noted that the program extends beyond immediate patient care to include specialized training components designed to enhance medical readiness among healthcare professionals.
These training initiatives will equip medical teams with the skills necessary to manage emergency cardiac cases using a unified, internationally accredited approach that meets global standards of excellence in cardiovascular care.
The mobile hospital initiative represents a significant step forward in making advanced cardiac interventions accessible to underserved populations while fostering knowledge exchange between Egyptian and Emirati medical professionals.
