Rznomics partners with Lilly Gateway Labs to accelerate RNA gene therapy development

By joining Lilly Gateway Labs, Rznomics plans to strengthen its drug discovery and development activities in the United States.

SOUTH KOREA— Rznomics Inc., a biopharmaceutical company specializing in RNA-based gene therapies, has joined Lilly Gateway Labs (LGL) in San Diego, California, as it seeks to accelerate the discovery and development of novel RNA therapeutics.

Lilly Gateway Labs provides biotechnology companies with access to laboratory facilities and opportunities to collaborate with scientists and executives from Eli Lilly and Company.

The innovation hub forms part of Lilly Catalyze360, a broader initiative that supports biotechnology innovation through capital, laboratory infrastructure, technology, and research and development capabilities.

Alongside Lilly Gateway Labs, Lilly Catalyze360 includes Lilly Ventures, Lilly ExploR&D, and Lilly TuneLab.

Through these programs, Lilly works with biotechnology companies at different stages of development, providing resources and expertise intended to help advance promising scientific discoveries toward potential treatments.

Expanding RNA therapeutics development

By joining Lilly Gateway Labs, Rznomics plans to strengthen its drug discovery and development activities in the United States.

The company will use the San Diego facility and its connections within the biotechnology ecosystem to accelerate identifying and advancing candidates from its proprietary target gene database.

Rznomics’ database contains more than 200 disease targets, providing a broad foundation for developing RNA-based therapies for a range of medical conditions.

The company expects its presence in San Diego to support research activities while creating opportunities for collaboration with other biotechnology organizations and industry experts.

In addition, Rznomics plans to establish a stronger global clinical infrastructure for its leading development programs.

The company also intends to expand strategic partnerships in international markets and recruit experienced research and development scientists in the United States.

Strengthening global collaboration

Rznomics said its entry into Lilly Gateway Labs marks an important step in the expansion of its proprietary RNA technology platform.

The company aims to use its presence in the U.S. biotechnology ecosystem to support the development and eventual commercialization of its RNA-based therapeutic candidates.

“Joining Lilly Gateway Labs in San Diego represents a meaningful milestone for Rznomics’ proprietary RNA platform,” said Seong-Wook Lee, CEO of Rznomics.

“We intend to advance the development and commercialization of our RNA therapeutics through active collaboration with the global biotechnology ecosystem.”

The company’s participation in Lilly Gateway Labs will also provide opportunities to engage with researchers, industry leaders, and potential strategic partners as it expands its development activities beyond South Korea.
