The new CFO succeeds Henrik Bøggild, who left the company after three and a half years to pursue another professional opportunity.

GERMANY – Sanner, a global healthcare packaging and medical device contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), has appointed Dirk Scholz as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective May 2, 2026.
The appointment comes as the company continues to strengthen its position in the global medtech, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, and consumer healthcare sectors.
Scholz brings more than three decades of experience in finance leadership and general management across international manufacturing and private equity-backed businesses.
His appointment reflects Sanner’s ongoing strategy to accelerate international growth and expand its end-to-end CDMO capabilities.
Leadership to support global growth
Commenting on the appointment, Stefan Verheyden said Scholz’s broad international experience makes him well suited to support the company’s next phase of expansion.
He noted that Sanner aims to strengthen further its position as a leading global provider of customer-specific solutions and services for medtech, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, and consumer healthcare markets.
Verheyden added that the company continues to invest in advanced manufacturing, packaging, and device development capabilities as demand for integrated healthcare solutions worldwide grows.
Sanner has recently intensified its transformation into a global CDMO through strategic acquisitions and infrastructure expansion.
The company acquired U.K.-based device development consultancy Springboard and U.S.-based medical device specialist Gilero to broaden its expertise across drug delivery systems, diagnostics, and medical technology manufacturing.
Focus on end-to-end CDMO services
Speaking about his new role, Dirk Scholz said he was pleased to join a fast-growing company focused on delivering integrated CDMO solutions on a global scale.
He explained that Sanner’s approach reduces complexity for customers while enabling closer collaboration between product development and manufacturing.
Scholz also highlighted the company’s expertise in moisture management technologies, injection molding, packaging, and medical device development, describing the combination as a unique strength that could create new business opportunities in the years ahead.
The new CFO succeeds Henrik Bøggild, who left the company after three and a half years to pursue another professional opportunity.
During his tenure, Bøggild played a key role in supporting several strategic initiatives, including the acquisitions of Springboard and Gilero, as well as the establishment of Sanner’s new headquarters in Germany and a manufacturing facility in the United States.
Verheyden acknowledged Bøggild’s contributions, noting that his leadership strengthened the company’s global footprint and operational capabilities during a critical period of transformation.
