Sanner rebrands Springboard as Sanner UK in global CDMO consolidation

GERMANY—Sanner, a global healthcare packaging and medical device contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), has begun unifying its subsidiaries under a single brand structure as part of a broader global integration strategy.

In the first step of this transition, Springboard has officially rebranded as Sanner UK, strengthening alignment across the group’s international operations.

The move follows Sanner’s acquisition of Springboard in January 2024 and reflects the company’s goal of building a seamless, end-to-end CDMO platform spanning medical technology, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology.

Expanding end-to-end healthcare development capabilities

Sanner said the rebranding supports its strategy to integrate early-stage design, human factors engineering, and large-scale manufacturing into a single connected workflow.

The company now positions itself as a full-service partner, supporting customers from initial product concept through to industrialization and commercial production.

Industry information confirms that Sanner has expanded its CDMO model over the past two years by combining its packaging expertise with advanced device engineering capabilities, following the acquisitions of Springboard and Gilero.

Sanner UK, based in Cambridge, remains a key innovation center for the group.

The facility supports rapid prototyping, testing, and early-stage device development across multiple medical applications, including diagnostics and drug delivery systems.

The site also benefits from proximity to one of Europe’s leading medtech ecosystems, allowing the company to access specialized engineering talent and accelerate product development cycles.

Global expansion extends beyond the UK

Sanner’s integration strategy extends beyond the UK market.

The company is also preparing to align its U.S.-based subsidiary Gilero under the same branding framework, following its acquisition in 2024.

Gilero currently supports design, development, and manufacturing operations across North America and Europe.

Sanner has expanded its U.S. manufacturing footprint in Greensboro, North Carolina, while also scaling development capabilities in Chicago to enhance prototyping, assembly, and human factors engineering.

These investments are designed to strengthen localized production while maintaining global coordination across the CDMO network.
