Bruker unveils MyGenius PRO molecular diagnostics system in Europe at ESCMID Global 2026

UK—Bruker Microbiology & Infection Diagnostics has launched its MyGenius PRO automated sample-to-answer molecular diagnostics system in Europe at the ESCMID Global 2026 meeting.

The company designed the platform for infectious disease testing and integrated polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology to deliver rapid, accurate results.

It supports higher-throughput workflows, continuous sample loading, and random-access processing, while automating the entire pipeline from patient sample to diagnostic output.

As a result, laboratories can improve efficiency and expand testing capacity without increasing operational complexity.

Integrated automation for laboratory efficiency

MyGenius PRO delivers end-to-end automation that reduces manual intervention across molecular diagnostics workflows.

It combines sample preparation, amplification, and detection to streamline laboratory operations.

The platform also enables laboratories to process samples in a flexible order, which helps manage urgent and routine testing simultaneously.

Bruker has installed the system at a European transplant centre, where clinicians use it for routine infectious disease testing.

Initial diagnostic menu for high-risk patients

At launch, the system’s in vitro diagnostic regulation (IVDR) menu includes assays for cytomegalovirus (CMV) and Epstein–Barr virus (EBV) using whole blood samples.

It also offers BK virus (BKV) testing from urine samples, supporting diagnostic needs in immunocompromised patients.

These assays improve early detection and monitoring of viral infections in high-risk settings.

Bruker positions the menu to meet immediate transplant and immunology laboratory requirements across Europe.

Expansion of assay portfolio

The company plans to expand the menu this year to include HIV-1, hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV), and human herpesvirus 6 (HHV-6).

It will expand the range of sample matrices and increase workflow flexibility across different diagnostic applications.

This expansion reflects Bruker’s focus on addressing evolving clinical demands in infectious disease management.

Collaboration and international rollout

Bruker developed MyGenius PRO with ELITechGroup and Hitachi High-Tech, combining assay design, automation, and engineering expertise.

In Japan, Hitachi High-Tech will commercialise the platform as Labospect GA-5, integrating Bruker assays to align with local diagnostic requirements.

This partnership extends its reach across regulatory environments and clinical markets.

Broader diagnostics portfolio and company developments

MyGenius PRO adds to Bruker’s molecular diagnostics portfolio, which includes InGenius, BeGenius, and LiquidArray assays.

Bruker advances solutions supporting molecular, cellular, and microscopic analysis across research and clinical diagnostics.
