Orange Egypt signs strategic digital health MoU with eHealth at Africa Health ExCon 2026

EGYPT – Orange Egypt has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with eHealth, a healthcare technology and solutions provider, to strengthen cooperation in digital health and support the ongoing modernization of Egypt’s healthcare sector.

The agreement brings together the technological capabilities of both companies as they seek to accelerate the adoption of digital solutions across the country’s healthcare system.

Signed on the sidelines of Africa Health ExCon 2026, the partnership establishes a framework for exploring, developing, managing, and operating a new generation of digital healthcare platforms and services.

Through the collaboration, the two companies aim to help healthcare providers improve efficiency, streamline operations, and enhance the quality of care delivered to patients.

Under the agreement, Orange Egypt will contribute its expertise in telecommunications, smart infrastructure, digital channels, customer support, and advanced technology solutions.

 Meanwhile, eHealth will provide its specialized digital health platforms and operational know-how, creating a foundation for integrated healthcare services that can better serve providers and patients alike.

The partners will also study and design comprehensive service packages tailored to the healthcare sector.

In addition, they plan to develop interoperable solutions that allow different healthcare platforms and systems to communicate more effectively, helping institutions share information and deliver services more efficiently.

Expanding Access Through Technology

A key objective of the partnership is to broaden access to digital healthcare services across Egypt.

 By leveraging Orange Egypt’s extensive market presence and distribution network, the companies expect to expand the reach of innovative healthcare solutions to hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare institutions throughout the country.

The two organizations will also evaluate opportunities to jointly develop and manage digital healthcare projects while pursuing partnerships with local and international stakeholders.

These collaborations could strengthen Egypt’s digital health ecosystem and create new opportunities in a rapidly evolving sector.

Orange Egypt Deepens Healthcare Engagement

The latest agreement builds on Orange Egypt’s growing involvement in healthcare digitalization.

In April, the company partnered with the Harvard Health Systems Innovation Lab and The American University in Cairo to host the first HSIL Hackathon in North Africa, bringing together innovators to develop artificial intelligence-driven healthcare solutions.

The initiative highlighted Orange Egypt’s commitment to supporting healthcare innovation and strengthening the country’s digital health landscape.

More recently, Orange Egypt has engaged with Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population to discuss opportunities for supporting the national digital health strategy.

Discussions focused on modernizing healthcare infrastructure, digitizing health insurance systems, and expanding digital healthcare services across the country.

The company has also been involved in broader digital health initiatives, including efforts to expand tele-diagnosis technologies and improve access to healthcare services in remote and underserved communities.
