The donation formed part of GHANCOY 5’s planned civil-military cooperation activities, which seek to strengthen relations between the military contingent and local communities.
The complex includes dedicated maternity and paediatric areas, with a total capacity of 66 beds and several functional units designed to improve patient reception, treatment and care.
The development marks another milestone for the West African nation, which was certified free of wild poliovirus in 2019 by the Africa Regional Commission for the Certification of Poliomyelitis Eradication.
