The plan targets a reduction of at least 50 percent in malaria related deaths and a 40 percent reduction in malaria case incidence by 2030, compared with 2022 levels.

The consignment, which originated in neighboring Sierra Leone, contained 44 cartons of Reality Extra D, a pharmaceutical product containing diclofenac sodium 50 mg.

France and its partners supported the construction and equipping of the clinic before handing it over to the Government of Liberia, the Ministry of Health, and the County Health Team.

The blueprint prioritizes infrastructure upgrades, expanded clinical services, digital transformation, and financial sustainability for the nation’s only tertiary teaching hospital.

The new facility promises to revolutionize medical care for residents of Pleebo City and the surrounding communities, who have long endured the burden of traveling significant distances to access surgical services.

The declaration followed a three-day national technical workshop held in Monrovia from 15–17 December 2025, supported by the World Health Organization (WHO).
